Alif-Lam-Meem
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:2
Do the people think that they will be left alone on saying: “We believe,” and that they will not be tested
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:3
And indeed We tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make it known those who are telling the truth and will certainly make it known those who are liars
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:4
Or do those who do evil deeds think that they can escape from Our reach? Evil is that which they judge
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:5
Whoever hopes for the meeting with Allah, and then surely Allah’s term is coming. Allah is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:6
And whoever strives, then strives only for oneself. Surely, Allah is Rich (not in any need) from all mankind and jinns
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:7
Those who believe and do righteous deeds, surely We shall remit their evil deeds from them and will reward them the best according to their deeds
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:8
And We have enjoined on people to be good to their parents; but if they (parents) strive against you to make you join (partners in worship) with Me of which you have no knowledge, then don’t obey them. To Me is your return and I shall tell you what you did
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:9
And those who believe and do righteous deeds, surely We shall make them enter among the righteous (in Paradise)
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:10
Some people are those who say: “We believe in Allah,” but if they are made to suffer in the cause of Allah, they confuse the trial of people as the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they say: “Surely! We were with you.” Is not Allah fully aware of what is in the hearts (of the people) of the worlds
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:11
Surely, Allah knows those who believe, and surely, He knows the hypocrites
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:12
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe: “Follow our way and we will surely bear your sins.” They will not bear anything from their sins. Surely, they are liars
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:13
And surely, they shall bear their own loads and other loads with their own loads, and surely, they shall be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about their fabricated lies
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:14
And indeed Allah sent Noah to his people and he stayed among them a 1,000 years less 50 years. The flood overtook them as they were wrongdoers
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:15
Then We saved him and the people of the ship, and made it (the ship) a sign for the worlds
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:16
And (remember) Abraham when he said to his people: “Worship Allah and fear Him, that is better for you if you understand
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:17
You worship only idols besides Allah and you invent falsehood. Surely, those whom you worship besides Allah, don’t possess any power to give you any provision, so seek provision from Allah, worship Him, and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be brought back
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:18
And if you deny, then truly nations have denied before you. The duty of the Messenger is not but to convey (the message) plainly.”
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:19
Don’t they see how Allah originates the creation, and then repeats it? Surely, it is easy for Allah
Verse 20 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:20
Say: “Travel in the land and see how (Allah) originated the creation, then Allah will bring forth the creation last (of the Hereafter). Surely, Allah has power over everything
Verse 21 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:21
He punishes whom He wills, shows Mercy to whom He wills, and to Him you will be returned
Verse 22 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:22
And you cannot escape in the earth or in the heaven. And besides Allah you have neither any protector nor any helper
Verse 23 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:23
And those who disbelieve in the Verses of Allah and the meeting with Him, they have no hope of My Mercy and there will be a painful punishment for them
Verse 24 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:24
There was no answer of his (Abraham’s) people except that they said: “Kill him or burn him.” But Allah saved him from the fire. Surely, in this, there are signs for people who believe
Verse 25 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:25
And (Abraham) said: “You have taken (for worship) idols instead of Allah. The love between you is only in the worldly life; but on the Day of Resurrection, you shall disown each other, curse each other, your abode will be the fire, and you shall have no helper.”
Verse 26 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:26
So Lot believed in him (Abraham). (Abraham) said: “Surely, I will emigrate for the sake of my Lord. He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.”
Verse 27 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:27
We bestowed on him (Abraham), Isaac (son) and Jacob (grandson), and ordained Prophethood and the book in his offspring. We granted him his reward in this world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous
Verse 28 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:28
And (remember) Lot, when he said to his people: “Surely you are committing the worst sin; no one has preceded you in committing it in the worlds
Verse 29 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:29
Surely, do you commit (sodomy) with men, rob travelers in the road, and practice every kind of evil deed in your gatherings?” But his people gave no answer except that they said: “Bring punishment of Allah upon us if you are one of the truthful.”
Verse 30 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:30
He (Lot) said: “My Lord! Help me against the corrupt people.”
Verse 31 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:31
And when Our Messengers (angels) came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said: “Surely, we are going to destroy the people of this town, truly its people are wrongdoers.”
Verse 32 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:32
(Abraham) said: “But Lot is in there.” They (angels) said: “We know better who is in there, we will surely save him and his family, except his wife, she will be of those who remain behind.”
Verse 33 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:33
And when Our Messengers (angels) came to Lot, he was grieved because of them, felt distressed for them, and was unable (to protect them). They said: “Do no fear and don’t grieve! Truly, we shall save you and your family, except your wife, she will be of those who remain behind
Verse 34 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:34
Surely, we are about to bring down a great punishment from the sky on the people of this town because of what they have been acting immorally.”
Verse 35 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:35
And indeed Allah has left in it a Sign (the Dead Sea in Palestine) evident for people who understand
Verse 36 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:36
And to (the people of) Midian, (We sent) their brother Shuaib. He said: “O my people! Worship Allah, hope (reward of good deeds) for the Last Day, and don’t commit mischief on the earth as corrupt.”
Verse 37 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:37
But they denied him (Shuaib), so the earthquake seized them, and they became dead in their residences
Verse 38 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:38
And Ad and Thamud (people)! Indeed (their destruction) is clearly apparent to you from their (ruined) residences. Satan made their deeds seem fair to them, and turned them away from the Right Way, though they were intelligent
Verse 39 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:39
And (We destroyed) Korah, Pharaoh, and Haman. Indeed Moses came to them with clear evidences but they were arrogant in the land, and they could not escape Us
Verse 40 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:40
So We seized all of them for their sins, against some of them We sent a violent wind with shower of stones (the people of Lot), some of them were overtaken by awful cry (Thamud or Shuaib’s people), some of them We caused the earth to swallow (like Korah), and some of them We drowned (the people of Noah or Pharaoh and his people). It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they were doing wrong to themselves
Verse 41 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:41
The example of those who take protectors other than Allah is the example of a spider who builds (for itself) a house, but surely, the weakest of houses is the house of the spider; if they but knew
Verse 42 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:42
Surely, Allah knows what things they invoke instead of Him. He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise
Verse 43 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:43
And these examples We put them forward for people, but none will grasp them except those who have knowledge
Verse 44 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:44
Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth. Surely! In that there is a sign for those who believe
Verse 45 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:45
Recite (O Muhammad) what has been revealed to you of the book (the Qur’an) and establish the prayer. Surely the prayer prevents from great sins and evil wicked deed, and surely the Remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows what you do
Verse 46 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:46
And don’t argue with the people of the book except (in a way it is) better, except those of them who do wrong, and say (to them): “We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; and our one worthy of worship and your one worthy of worship is One (Allah), and to Him we have submitted (as Muslims).”
Verse 47 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:47
And thus We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the book (this Qur’an) (same way as the book to Moses and Jesus). So those whom We gave the Scripture believe in it, and some of those who believe in it, and none but the disbelievers reject Our Verses
Verse 48 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:48
Neither you (O Muhammad) have read any book before it (this Qur’an), nor have you written with your right hand. In that case, indeed, the followers of falsehood might have doubted
Verse 49 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:49
Nay, but these are clear signs in the hearts of those who are given the knowledge. None but the wrongdoers deny and reject Our Verses
Verse 50 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:50
And they say: “Why have the Verses not sent down to him from his Lord? Say: “The Verses are only with Allah, and verily I am only a plain Warner.”
Verse 51 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:51
Is it not sufficient for them that We have sent the book (the Qur’an) down to you which is recited to them? Surely, in that there is a Mercy and a reminder for people who believe
Verse 52 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:52
Say (to them O Muhammad): “Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you. He knows what is in the heavens and on earth. Those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in Allah, they are the losers.”
Verse 53 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:53
And they ask you to hasten on the punishment for them. Had it not been for a term appointed, the punishment would certainly have come to them. Surely, it will come upon them suddenly while they don’t perceive
Verse 54 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:54
They ask you to hasten on the punishment. Surely! Hell will surely encompass the disbelievers
Verse 55 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:55
On the Day when the punishment (hellfire) shall cover them from above and from underneath their feet, and a voice shall say: “Taste what you used to do.”
Verse 56 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:56
O My devotees who believe! Certainly, My earth is spacious (to migrate). Therefore worship Me
Verse 57 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:57
Every person shall taste the death. Then to Us you shall be returned
Verse 58 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:58
And those who believe and do righteous deeds, to them We shall surely give a lofty residing place from Paradise, underneath it rivers flow, to reside in it forever. Excellent is the reward of the workers
Verse 59 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:59
those who are patient and put their trust in their Lord
Verse 60 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:60
So many from living creatures don’t carry their own provisions! Allah provides for them and for you. He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower
Verse 61 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:61
And if you were to ask them (disbelievers): “Who has created the heavens and the earth, and subjected the sun and the moon?” They will surely reply: “Allah.” How then are they deviating (from truth)
Verse 62 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:62
Allah enlarges the provision for whom He wills of His servants, and straitens it for whom (He wills). Surely, Allah is the All-Knower of everything
Verse 63 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:63
And if you were to ask them: “Who sends down water (rain) from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its death?” They will surely reply: “Allah.” Say: “All the praises are to Allah!” But most of them have no sense
Verse 64 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:64
This worldly life is nothing but amusement and play! Surely, the home of the Hereafter is indeed the life (that will never end), if they but knew
Verse 65 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:65
When they embark on a ship, they invoke Allah (during trouble) making their religion pure for Him only. But when He brings them safely to land, behold, they join (give credit to) others in worship (besides Allah)
Verse 66 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:66
so that they become ungrateful for that which We have given them, and that they take enjoyment. But they will come to know
Verse 67 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:67
Do they not see that We have made (Makkah) a secure sanctuary while the people from all around them are being snatched away? Then do they (still) believe in false deities, and deny the Graces of Allah
Verse 68 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:68
And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah or denies the truth when it comes to him? Is there not a residence in hell for the disbelievers
Verse 69 — Surah Al-Ankabut 29:69
As for those who strive hard in Our Cause, We will surely guide them to Allah’s ways. And surely, Allah is with the good doers
