English - Chapter 96 - Al-Alaq

Verse 1 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:1
Recite thou in the name of thy Lord Who hath created
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:2
Hath created man from a clot
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:3
Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:4
Who hath taught mankind by the pen
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:5
Hath taught man that which he knew not
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:6
By no means: Verily man exorbitateth
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:7
As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:8
Verily Unto thy Lord is the return
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:9
Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:10
A bondman of Ours when he prayeth
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:11
Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:12
Or he commandeth piety
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:13
Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:14
Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:15
By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:16
A forelock, lying, sinning
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:17
Then, let him call his assembly
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:18
We also shall call the infernal guards
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:19
By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh
