Verse 1 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:1
No! I swear by the Day of Rising
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:2
No! I swear by the self-reproaching self
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:3
Does man imagine We will not reassemble his bones
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:4
On the contrary! We are well able to reshape his fingers
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:5
Yet man still wants to deny what is ahead of him
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:6
asking, ´So when is the Day of Rising?´
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:7
But when the eyesight is dazzled
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:8
and the moon is eclipsed
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:9
and the sun and moon are fused together
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:10
on that Day man will say, ´Where can I run?´
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:11
No indeed! There will be no safe place
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:12
That Day the only resting place will be your Lord
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:13
That Day man will be told what he did and failed to do
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:14
In fact, man will be clear proof against himself
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:15
in spite of any excuses he might offer
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:16
Do not move your tongue trying to hasten it
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:17
Its collection and recitation are Our affair
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:18
So when We recite it, follow its recitation
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:19
Then its explanation is Our concern
Verse 20 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:20
No indeed! But you love this fleeting world
Verse 21 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:21
and you disregard the Next World
Verse 22 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:22
Faces that Day will be radiant
Verse 23 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:23
gazing at their Lord
Verse 24 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:24
And faces that Day will be glowering
Verse 25 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:25
realising that a back-breaking blow has fallen
Verse 26 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:26
No indeed! When it reaches the gullet
Verse 27 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:27
and he hears the words, ´Who can heal him now?´
Verse 28 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:28
and he knows it is indeed the final parting
Verse 29 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:29
and one leg is entwined with the other
Verse 30 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:30
that Day he will be driven to your Lord
Verse 31 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:31
He neither affirmed the truth nor did he do salat
Verse 32 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:32
but rather denied the truth and turned away
Verse 33 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:33
and then went off to his family, swaggering
Verse 34 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:34
It is coming closer to you and closer
Verse 35 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:35
Then closer to you and closer still
Verse 36 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:36
Does man reckon he will be left to go on unchecked
Verse 37 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:37
Was he not a drop of ejaculated sperm
Verse 38 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:38
then a blood-clot which He created and shaped
Verse 39 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:39
making from it both sexes, male and female
Verse 40 — Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:40
Is He who does this not able to bring the dead to life
