Verse 1 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:1
The Indubitable
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:2
What is the Indubitable
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:3
And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:4
Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:5
As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:6
and as for Ad, they were destroyed by a wind clamorous
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:7
violent that He compelled against them seven nights and eight days, uninterruptedly, and thou mightest see the people laid prostrate in it as if they were the stumps of fallen down palm-trees
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:8
Now dost thou see any remnant of them
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:9
Pharaoh likewise, and those before him, and the Subverted Cities -- they committed error
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:10
and they rebelled against the Messenger of their Lord, and He seized them with a surpassing grip
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:11
Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:12
that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:13
So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:14
and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:15
then, on that day, the Terror shall come to pass
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:16
and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:17
and the angels shall stand upon its borders, and upon that day eight shall carry above them the Throne of thy Lord
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:18
On that day you shall be exposed, not one secret of yours concealed
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:19
Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book
Verse 20 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:20
Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning
Verse 21 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:21
So he shall be in a pleasing life
Verse 22 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:22
in a lofty Garden
Verse 23 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:23
its clusters nigh to gather
Verse 24 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:24
Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by
Verse 25 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:25
But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book
Verse 26 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:26
and not known my reckoning
Verse 27 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:27
Would it had been the end
Verse 28 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:28
My wealth has not availed me
Verse 29 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:29
my authority is gone from me
Verse 30 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:30
Take him, and fetter him
Verse 31 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:31
and then roast him in Hell
Verse 32 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:32
then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him
Verse 33 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:33
Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty
Verse 34 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:34
and he never urged the feeding of the needy
Verse 35 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:35
therefore he today has not here one loyal friend
Verse 36 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:36
neither any food saving foul pus
Verse 37 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:37
that none excepting the sinners eat
Verse 38 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:38
No! I swear by that you see
Verse 39 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:39
and by that you do not see
Verse 40 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:40
it is the speech of a noble Messenger
Verse 41 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:41
It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe)
Verse 42 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:42
nor the speech of a soothsayer (little do you remember)
Verse 43 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:43
A sending down from the Lord of all Being
Verse 44 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:44
Had he invented against Us any sayings
Verse 45 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:45
We would have seized him by the right hand
Verse 46 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:46
then We would surely have cut his life-vein
Verse 47 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:47
and not one of you could have defended him
Verse 48 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:48
Surely it is a Reminder to the godfearing
Verse 49 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:49
but We know that some of you will cry lies
Verse 50 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:50
Surely it is a sorrow to the unbelievers
Verse 51 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:51
yet indeed it is the truth of certainty
Verse 52 — Surah Al-Haqqah 69:52
Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty
