Verse 1 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:1
(Allah), the most Merciful
Verse 2 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:2
Taught the Qur´an
Verse 3 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:3
He created man
Verse 4 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:4
And taught him speech
Verse 5 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:5
The sun and the moon function (perfectly), as per their schedules
Verse 6 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:6
From a blade of grass to a tree, (everything) prostrates (before Allah)
Verse 7 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:7
He raised the sky far above, and set up a (perfect) balance
Verse 8 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:8
So do not transcend the balance
Verse 9 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:9
Administer the weight (and measure) with justice. Do not inflict a loss to others (by cheating) at the scales
Verse 10 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:10
And He prepared the earth for (His) created beings
Verse 11 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:11
It has (all sorts of) fruits, (like) the sheathed clusters of dates
Verse 12 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:12
Corn with leafy stalks, and aromatic plants
Verse 13 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:13
So, which ones of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 14 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:14
He created the human kind out of dried mud, like a potter´s clay
Verse 15 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:15
He created the (race of) jinn out of the (lucent) blaze of fire
Verse 16 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:16
So which ones of the wonders of your Lord would you disregard? (For how long)
Verse 17 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:17
The Lord of the two Easts! And the Lord of the two Wests
Verse 18 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:18
So, which of the powers and prowess of your Lord will you refuse to heed? (For how long)
Verse 19 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:19
He brought the two seas (of sweet and salt water) closer _ close enough to mingle
Verse 20 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:20
Yet, there exists a barrier between them, which they do not overrun
Verse 21 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:21
So which one of the wonders of your Lord would you disregard? (For how long)
Verse 22 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:22
Pearls and corals (are mined and) emerge from each (of the two seas)
Verse 23 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:23
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 24 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:24
His are the ships that sail across the ocean, as if they were (the floating) mountains
Verse 25 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:25
So, which one of the wonders of your Lord would you disregard? (For how long)
Verse 26 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:26
Every being upon the earth is mortal, (and will die)
Verse 27 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:27
The only One to last and live on is your Lord _ the Lord of sublime glory and honor
Verse 28 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:28
So which one of the power and glory of your Lord would you refuse to heed? (For how long)
Verse 29 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:29
Every being in the heavens and on earth entreats (and relies upon) Him (for sustenance, survival and other needs). Every single day, He assumes yet another (wondrous state of) glory
Verse 30 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:30
So which one of the wonders of your Lord would you disregard? (For how long)
Verse 31 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:31
For you, the two sin laden groups, (one of men, the other of jinn), We would soon devote Ourselves (exclusively to judge you)
Verse 32 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:32
So which one of the power and might of your Lord would you refuse to heed? (For how long)
Verse 33 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:33
Oh you, the species of jinn and humans, if (you think) you possess the means to break free from the confines of the heavens and the earth, then do so. But, you shall not, without (His) sanction
Verse 34 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:34
So, which of the power and prowess of your Lord would you refuse to heed? (For how long)
Verse 35 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:35
Blazing (fiery) fireballs, and (flaming molten) brass would be let loose upon you. Escape you shall not
Verse 36 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:36
So, which of the power and might of your Lord would you refuse to heed? (For how long)
Verse 37 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:37
And then the sky shall split asunder and turn red, just like (freshly tanned) leather
Verse 38 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:38
So, which one of the wonders of your Lord would you disregard? (For how long)
Verse 39 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:39
That day, neither humans nor jinn would (need to) be questioned concerning their sins
Verse 40 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:40
So, which of the power and prowess of your Lord would you refuse to heed? (For how long)
Verse 41 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:41
The criminals would be easily identified by their distinctive marks and mien. They would be grabbed by the lock of their hair, and their feet
Verse 42 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:42
So which of the power and might of your Lord would you refuse to heed? (For how long)
Verse 43 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:43
Here is the hell that criminals had refused to believe
Verse 44 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:44
To and fro, they would rotate between it and the (fiercely) hot water
Verse 45 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:45
So which of the power and might of your Lord would you refuse to heed? (For how long)
Verse 46 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:46
A twin garden (in paradise) exists (as a reward) for the one who dreads to stand before his Lord, (and His reckoning)
Verse 47 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:47
So, which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 48 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:48
With diverse wondrous things (in each)
Verse 49 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:49
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 50 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:50
With a couple of springs streaming across each (garden)
Verse 51 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:51
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 52 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:52
With two varieties of each type of fruit in each (garden)
Verse 53 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:53
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 54 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:54
(The righteous) would recline on (exotic) carpets lined with lush brocade. (Loaded with plentiful fruit), the branches of fruit trees would hang low, within easy reach
Verse 55 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:55
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 56 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:56
In these (gardens of paradise), the righteous shall have mates that are chaste-eyed and demure _ not deflowered by any human or jinn before them
Verse 57 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:57
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 58 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:58
(So very lovely), as if they were rubies and pearls
Verse 59 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:59
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 60 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:60
Do excellent deeds deserve anything except the most excellent rewards
Verse 61 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:61
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 62 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:62
In addition to the two (already promised), they shall have two more gardens
Verse 63 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:63
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 64 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:64
(With foliage) of the deepest green color
Verse 65 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:65
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 66 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:66
With two (constantly) gushing fountains in each (garden)
Verse 67 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:67
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 68 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:68
Each with (plenty of) fruits _ dates and pomegranates
Verse 69 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:69
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 70 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:70
There, they shall have beautiful virtuous (wives)
Verse 71 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:71
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 72 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:72
Lovely eyed (heavenly) nymphs (of paradise) lodged in pavilions
Verse 73 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:73
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 74 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:74
Whom no human or jinn had deflowered
Verse 75 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:75
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 76 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:76
The righteous shall recline on lush green cushion, and exquisite (exotic) carpet
Verse 77 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:77
So which one of the favors of your Lord won´t you acknowledge? (For how long)
Verse 78 — Surah Ar-Rahman 55:78
Hallowed is the name of your Lord, the Lord of Might and Majesty
