Verse 1 — Surah An-Naba 78:1

Of what do they ask each other

Verse 2 — Surah An-Naba 78:2

Of the mighty information

Verse 3 — Surah An-Naba 78:3

whereon they do dispute

Verse 4 — Surah An-Naba 78:4

nay, they shall know too well

Verse 5 — Surah An-Naba 78:5

Again, nay, they shall know too well

Verse 6 — Surah An-Naba 78:6

Have we not set the earth as a couch

Verse 7 — Surah An-Naba 78:7

and the mountains as stakes

Verse 8 — Surah An-Naba 78:8

and created you in pairs

Verse 9 — Surah An-Naba 78:9

and made your sleep for rest

Verse 10 — Surah An-Naba 78:10

and made the night a garment

Verse 11 — Surah An-Naba 78:11

and made the day for livelihood

Verse 12 — Surah An-Naba 78:12

and built above you seven solid (heavens)

Verse 13 — Surah An-Naba 78:13

and set a burning lamp

Verse 14 — Surah An-Naba 78:14

and, sent down from the rain-expressing clouds water pouring forth

Verse 15 — Surah An-Naba 78:15

to bring out thereby the grain and herb

Verse 16 — Surah An-Naba 78:16

and gardens thickly planted

Verse 17 — Surah An-Naba 78:17

Verily, the day of decision is an appointed time

Verse 18 — Surah An-Naba 78:18

and the day when the trumpet shall be blown, and ye shall come in troops

Verse 19 — Surah An-Naba 78:19

and the heavens shall be opened, and shall be all doors

Verse 20 — Surah An-Naba 78:20

and the mountains shall be moved, and shall be like a mirage

Verse 21 — Surah An-Naba 78:21

Verily, hell is an ambuscade

Verse 22 — Surah An-Naba 78:22

a reward for the outrageous

Verse 23 — Surah An-Naba 78:23

to tarry therein for ages

Verse 24 — Surah An-Naba 78:24

They shall not taste therein cool nor drink

Verse 25 — Surah An-Naba 78:25

but only boiling water and pus

Verse 26 — Surah An-Naba 78:26

Verse 27 — Surah An-Naba 78:27

Verily, they did not hope for the account

Verse 28 — Surah An-Naba 78:28

but they ever said our signs were lies

Verse 29 — Surah An-Naba 78:29

Everything have we remembered in a book

Verse 30 — Surah An-Naba 78:30

Then taste, for we will only increase your torment

Verse 31 — Surah An-Naba 78:31

Verily, for the pious is a blissful place

Verse 32 — Surah An-Naba 78:32

gardens and vineyards

Verse 33 — Surah An-Naba 78:33

and girls with swelling breasts of the same age as themselves

Verse 34 — Surah An-Naba 78:34

Verse 35 — Surah An-Naba 78:35

they shall hear therein no folly and no lie

Verse 36 — Surah An-Naba 78:36

a reward from thy Lord, a sufficient gift

Verse 37 — Surah An-Naba 78:37

The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and what is between them both,- the Merciful,- they cannot obtain audience of Him

Verse 38 — Surah An-Naba 78:38

The day when the Spirit and the angels shall stand in ranks, they shall not speak save to whom the Merciful permits, and who speaks aright

Verse 39 — Surah An-Naba 78:39

That is the true day; and whoso pleases let him take to a resort unto his Lord

Verse 40 — Surah An-Naba 78:40

Verily, we have warned you of a torment that is nigh: on a day when man shall see what his two hands have sent forward; and the misbeliever shall say, 'Would that I were dust
