Verse 3 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:3

that We revealed this Qur’an in a blessed night (Layla-tul Qadr); for We wanted to forewarn mankind

Verse 4 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:4

In that night every matter is decided wisely

Verse 5 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:5

by a command from Ourself. Surely We send it (The Qur'an) down

as a blessing from your Lord; it is He Who is All-Hearing, All- Knowing

Verse 7 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:7

The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, mark this, if you are true believers

Verse 8 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:8

Yet they play about in doubt

Verse 10 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:10

Well! Wait for the Day when the sky will pour down visible smoke

Verse 11 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:11

Enveloping all mankind; this will be a painful punishment

Verse 12 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:12

Then the mankind will say: "Our Lord! Remove from us this punishment, surely we have become real believers

Verse 13 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:13

But how can the acceptance of Our Message at that time be beneficial to them? A Messenger (Muhammad), who makes the things clear, has already come to them

Verse 14 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:14

yet they deny him, saying: "He is a madman, taught by others

Verse 15 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:15

We shall remove the affliction (famine from which they were suffering) for a while, but you will revert to the same old ways

Verse 16 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:16

One day We shall seize you with a mighty onslaught to exact Our retribution

Verse 17 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:17

Before them We had put the people of Pharoah (Pharaoh) to the same test, when an honorable Messenger came to them

Verse 18 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:18

saying: "Hand over to me the servants of Allah. I am to you a Messenger worthy of all trust

Verse 19 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:19

Verse 20 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:20

I have taken refuge with my Lord and your Lord against you injuring me

Verse 21 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:21

If you do not believe me, then leave me alone

Verse 22 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:22

Verse 25 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:25

How many gardens and springs they left behind

Verse 26 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:26

And agriculture and grand palaces

Verse 27 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:27

And means of luxury and comfort which they used to enjoy

Verse 28 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:28

Thus was their end! And We let other people inherit what was once theirs

Verse 29 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:29

Neither Heaven nor earth sheds tears for them; nor were they given a respite

Verse 30 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:30

We did deliver the Children of Israel from a humiliating chastisement

Verse 31 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:31

inflicted by Pharoah who was the most arrogant among such inordinate transgressors

Verse 32 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:32

and We chose them, in spite of knowing their weaknesses above the nations of the world

Verse 33 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:33

We showed them signs in which there was a clear trial

Verse 34 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:34

As to these (people of Qureysh) who say

Verse 35 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:35

There is nothing beyond our first death and we shall not be raised again

Verse 36 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:36

Are these people better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them all only because they had become criminals

Verse 37 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:37

It was not for a sport that We created the heavens the earth and all that lies between them

Verse 38 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:38

We have created them to reveal the truth, but most of them do not understand

Verse 39 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:39

Surely the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for the resurrection of them all

Verse 40 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:40

On that Day no one shall be able to protect his friend, nor shall they receive any help

Verse 41 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:41

except those to whom Allah will show His Mercy: for it is He Who is the All- Mighty, the All Merciful

Verse 42 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:42

Surely the Zaqqum tree

Verse 43 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:43

shall be the food of the sinners

As for the righteous, they will be in a secure place

Verse 52 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:52

among gardens and springs

Verse 53 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:53

dressed in fine silk and rich brocade, sitting face to face

Verse 54 — Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:54
