Verse 1 — Surah An-Naba 78:1
Concerning what do the unbelievers ask questions of one another
Verse 2 — Surah An-Naba 78:2
Concerning the great news of the resurrection
Verse 3 — Surah An-Naba 78:3
about which they disagree
Verse 4 — Surah An-Naba 78:4
Assuredly they shall hereafter know the truth thereof
Verse 5 — Surah An-Naba 78:5
Again, assuredly they shall hereafter know the truth thereof
Verse 6 — Surah An-Naba 78:6
Have We not made the earth for a bed
Verse 7 — Surah An-Naba 78:7
and the mountains for stakes to fix the same
Verse 8 — Surah An-Naba 78:8
And have We not created you of two sexes
Verse 9 — Surah An-Naba 78:9
and appointed your sleep for rest
Verse 10 — Surah An-Naba 78:10
and made the night a garment to cover you
Verse 11 — Surah An-Naba 78:11
and destined the day to the gaining your livelihood
Verse 12 — Surah An-Naba 78:12
and built over you seven solid heavens
Verse 13 — Surah An-Naba 78:13
and placed therein a burning lamp
Verse 14 — Surah An-Naba 78:14
And do We not send down from the clouds pressing forth rain, water pouring down in abundance
Verse 15 — Surah An-Naba 78:15
that We may thereby produce corn, and herbs
Verse 16 — Surah An-Naba 78:16
and gardens planted thick with trees
Verse 17 — Surah An-Naba 78:17
Verily the day of separation is a fixed period
Verse 18 — Surah An-Naba 78:18
The day whereon the trumpet shall sound, and ye shall come in troops to judgment
Verse 19 — Surah An-Naba 78:19
and the heaven shall be opened, and shall be full of gates for the angels to pass through
Verse 20 — Surah An-Naba 78:20
and the mountains shall pass away, and become as a vapour
Verse 21 — Surah An-Naba 78:21
verily hell shall be a place of ambush
Verse 22 — Surah An-Naba 78:22
a receptacle for the transgressors
Verse 23 — Surah An-Naba 78:23
who shall remain therein for ages
Verse 24 — Surah An-Naba 78:24
They shall not taste any refreshment therein, or any drink
Verse 25 — Surah An-Naba 78:25
except boiling water, and filthy corruption
Verse 26 — Surah An-Naba 78:26
A fit recompense for their deeds
Verse 27 — Surah An-Naba 78:27
For they hoped that they should not be brought to an account
Verse 28 — Surah An-Naba 78:28
and they disbelieved our signs, accusing them of falsehood
Verse 29 — Surah An-Naba 78:29
But every thing have We computed, and written down
Verse 30 — Surah An-Naba 78:30
Taste, therefore: We will not add unto you any other than torment
Verse 31 — Surah An-Naba 78:31
But for the pious is prepared a place of bliss
Verse 32 — Surah An-Naba 78:32
Gardens planted with trees, and vineyards
Verse 33 — Surah An-Naba 78:33
and damsels with swelling breasts, of equal age with themselves
Verse 34 — Surah An-Naba 78:34
and a full cup
Verse 35 — Surah An-Naba 78:35
They shall hear no vain discourse there, nor any falsehood
Verse 36 — Surah An-Naba 78:36
This shall be their recompense from thy Lord; a gift fully sufficient
Verse 37 — Surah An-Naba 78:37
From the Lord of heaven and earth, and of whatever is between them; the Merciful. The inhabitants of heaven or of earth shall not dare to demand audience of Him
Verse 38 — Surah An-Naba 78:38
The day whereon the spirit Gabriel, and the other angels shall stand in order, they shall not speak in behalf of themselves or others, except he only to whom the Merciful shall grant permission, and who shall say that which is right
Verse 39 — Surah An-Naba 78:39
This is the infallible day. Whoso, therefore, willeth, let him return unto his Lord
Verse 40 — Surah An-Naba 78:40
Verily We threaten you with a punishment nigh at hand: The day whereon a man shall behold the good or evil deeds which his hands have sent before him; and the unbeliever shall say, would to God I were dust
