Verse 40 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:40
When your sister went and said: shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? Thus We returned you to your mother that her eye might be cooled and (that) she might not grieve. Verse 46 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:46
He said, "Do not fear, I am certainly there with both of you, I do hear and see
Verse 47 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:47
So go both of you to him and say: We are messengers of your Lord so send the children of Israel with us and do not punish them, we have come to you with a sign from your Lord, and peace will be on him who follows the guidance
Verse 48 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:48
It has been communicated to us that punishment (will be inflicted) on him who denies and turns away
Verse 49 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:49
He (Pharaoh) said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses
Verse 50 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:50
He said, "Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation (or character), then guided (it)
Verse 51 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:51
He said, "Then what is the condition of earlier generations
Verse 52 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:52
He said, "The knowledge of that is in a record with my Lord. My Lord neither errs nor forgets
Verse 53 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:53
He (it is) Who has made the earth habitable for you, and made roads for you therein, and sent down water from the sky then We brought out through it various kinds of vegetation
Verse 54 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:54
(so that you may) eat and feed your cattle, certainly there are signs in that for possessors of sense
Verse 55 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:55
From the (earth) We created you and into it We will return you and from it We will bring you out a second time
Verse 56 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:56
And We showed him (Pharaoh) all Our signs but he denied and refused
Verse 57 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:57
He said, "Have you come to drive us out from our land through your magic, O Moses
Verse 58 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:58
So we too will definitely produce before you magic similar to it, therefore let there be an appointment between us and you which we shall not break, neither we nor you, at a (neutral) place (where both have) equal (opportunity of victory)
Verse 59 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:59
He said, "Your appointment is on the day of adornment (festival) and let the people gather (before) noon

So Pharaoh went away and brought together (all magicians and made arrangements for) his plan, then came (back)
Verse 61 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:61
Moses said to them, "Sorrowful is your state, do not forge a lie against God lest He destroy you by punishment, and one who forges (a lie) surely fails
Verse 62 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:62
So they disputed among themselves about their affair but kept their talk secret
Verse 63 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:63
They said, "These two are surely magicians who intend to drive you out of your land by their magic and do away with your exemplary traditions
Verse 64 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:64
So collectively decide (about) your plan, then come in ranks, so one who is uppermost this day will indeed be successful
Verse 65 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:65
They said, "O Moses! will you throw or shall we be the first to throw
Verse 66 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:66
He said, "No! you throw." So when (they threw), their ropes and their rods appeared to him, due to their magic, as if they were in motion
Verse 67 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:67
So Moses conceived a fear in his mind
Verse 68 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:68
We said, "Do not fear, you will certainly be uppermost
Verse 69 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:69
and throw that which is in your right hand, it will swallow that which they have made. (What) they have made is only a magician's plot and the magician will not be successful wherever he goes
Verse 70 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:70
So the magicians were thrown bowing down, saying, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses
Verse 71 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:71
He (Pharaoh) said, "You believe in him before I give you permission? He (Moses) is certainly a great (expert) among you all who has taught you the magic. So I will definitely cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides and I will definitely crucify you on the trunks of the palm trees, and you will definitely know which of us has more severe and more lasting punishment
Verse 72 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:72
They said, "We will never prefer you to what has come to us of the clear proofs and to Him Who initiated our creation. So decide whatever you (wish to) decide, you can decide only about the life of this world
Verse 73 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:73
We certainly believe in our Lord, (and hope) that He will protectively forgive us our faults and the magic to which you compelled us, and God is the Best and One Who remains for ever
Verse 74 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:74
Whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal, then for him, certainly there is hell, he will neither die therein nor live
Verse 75 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:75
And whoever comes to Him as a believer having done righteous works, then those are the persons for whom there are high ranks
Verse 76 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:76
gardens of everlasting bliss, beneath which rivers flow, they will stay therein and that is the reward of him who purifies (himself). (R)
Verse 77 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:77
And We communicated to Moses that (you should) travel by night with My servants, then strike a dry path for them in the sea, neither fearing to be overtaken nor being afraid
Verse 78 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:78
Then Pharaoh followed them with his forces but there covered them from the flowing water, that which covered them (when the stationary sea started to flow)
Verse 79 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:79
So Pharaoh led his people astray and he did not guide (them a right)
Verse 80 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:80
O children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy and We made a promise with you on the right (hand) side of the Mount Toor and We sent down on you manna and quails
Verse 81 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:81
Eat from the good things which We have provided for you and do not transgress therein lest My anger come down upon you, and he on whom My anger comes down, he will indeed perish
Verse 82 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:82
And I am certainly Protectively Forgiving for him who repents and believes and does righteous work (and is) then guided
Verse 83 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:83
(It was asked), “And what has made you to hasten in advance of your people, O Moses?”
Verse 84 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:84
He said, “ They are close on my footsteps and I hastened to You my Lord, to please You.”
Verse 85 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:85
He said, "And We have tested your people after you (left them) and Samiri has misled them
Verse 86 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:86
So Moses returned to his people angry and (in) grief. He said, "O my people! did your Lord not promise you a good promise? Then, did the (time of) agreement appear long to you? Or did you intend that the anger of your Lord should come down upon you (and) therefore you went against your agreement made with me
Verse 87 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:87
They said, "We did not go against (our) agreement with you on our own accord but we were made to carry the burdens of the ornaments of the people, so we put them (in the fire) because Samiri had put (the suggestion) like this
Verse 88 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:88
Then he took out for them a body of a calf, it had a hollow sound, then he said, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he forgot
Verse 89 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:89
Then could they not see, that it did not return to them (even) a word (in reply) and it had no control on harming or benefiting them? (R)
Verse 90 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:90
And Aaron had indeed said to them earlier, "O my people! you are only being tested through it and your Lord is certainly the Beneficent (God), so follow me and obey my order
Verse 91 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:91
They said, "We will not give up sticking to its (worship) till Moses returns to us
Verse 92 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:92
He (Moses) said, "O Aaron! what prevented you, when you saw them going astray
Verse 93 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:93
that you did not follow me, did you then disobey my order
Verse 94 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:94
He said, "O son of my mother! do not catch me by my beard nor by my head, I feared lest you should say: you have caused a division among the children of Israel and did not wait for my word
Verse 95 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:95
He said, "So what was your affair O Samiri
Verse 96 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:96
He said, "I saw that, which they did not see, so I took a handful from the footstep of the messenger then I threw it and thus did my soul incline me (to do)
Verse 97 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:97
He said, "Then go away, and in this life (it will) certainly (be incumbent) on you to say: do not touch me. And (this is) certainly a promise for you against which you can never go. And look at your god to whose (worship) you were sticking, we will definitely burn it, then we will definitely uproot it disintegrating it in the river
Verse 98 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:98
Your God is only God, other than Whom there is no god, (His) knowledge extends over everything
Verse 99 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:99
Thus do We narrate to you (some) of the news of what happened before. And We have given you a reminder from Us
Verse 100 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:100
one who turns away from it, then he will carry a burden on the day of resurrection
Verse 101 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:101
staying under it, and it will be an evil (burden) for them to carry on the day of resurrection
Verse 102 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:102
the day it will be blown into the trumpet (structure of the universe), and We will gather the criminals blind on that day
Verse 103 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:103
whispering among themselves, ''You did not stay but (for) ten (days)
Verse 104 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:104
We know best that which they talk about, when the best of them in tradition (following sequence of events) will say, "You did not stay but (for) a day." (R)
Verse 105 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:105
And they ask you about the mountains, so say, "My Lord will uproot them (to result in) a disintegration
Verse 106 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:106
so that He will leave them as a leveled expanse
Verse 107 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:107
You will see neither any crookedness nor unevenness
Verse 108 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:108
On that day they will all follow the announcer, there will be no crookedness (in responding) to him, and voices will humble before the Beneficent (God), so that you will not hear anything except a faint sound
Verse 109 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:109
On that day mediation will not be profitable except of him whom the Beneficent (God) permits, and with whose word He is pleased
Verse 110 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:110
He knows that which is before them and that which is behind them but they cannot encompass it in(their) knowledge
Verse 111 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:111
And faces will humble before the Living, the Eternally Existing and he who carries (the burden of) injustice would indeed fail
Verse 112 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:112
And whoever does works of righteousness while he is a believer, then he will have neither the fear of injustice nor of getting lesser than what is due to him
Verse 113 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:113
And thus We have sent it down an Arabic Quran and We have repeated in it (some) of the threats that they may guard (against evil) or (that) it may serve them as a reminder
Verse 114 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:114
So Highly Exalted is God the Real King. And do not be in haste with the Quran before its communication to you is completed, and say, "My Lord! increase me in knowledge
Verse 115 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:115
And We had indeed made an agreement with Adam earlier but he forgot, and We did not find determination in him. (R)
Verse 116 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:116
And when We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam," they (all) bowed down, except Iblis, he refused
Verse 117 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:117
Then We said, "O Adam! this is certainly an enemy to you and your wife, so let him not drive you both out of the garden so that you face distress
Verse 118 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:118
It is certainly (ordained) for you that you will neither be hungry therein nor naked
Verse 119 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:119
and you will neither be thirsty therein nor be exposed to sun's rays, (because of plenty of food, drinks, clothes and the pleasant environment)
Verse 120 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:120
But the devil whispered to him saying. "O Adam! shall I lead you to the tree of eternity and a kingdom that has no downfall
Verse 121 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:121
So they both ate from it, consequently their shame became manifest to them and they both began to cover themselves with the leaves of the garden, and Adam disobeyed his Lord therefore he went astray
Verse 122 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:122
Then his Lord chose him and turned to him (mercifully) and guided him
Verse 123 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:123
He said, "Go down from here both of you together, some of you (will be) enemies of others, but when guidance comes to you from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, he will neither go astray nor face distress
Verse 124 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:124
And whoever turns away from My reminder, then his life will certainly be miserable and We will raise him blind on the day of resurrection
Verse 125 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:125
He will say, "My Lord! why did you raise me blind when I was one with sight (in the life of the world)
Verse 126 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:126
He will say, "Thus Our signs came to you but you forgot them, therefore in a similar manner, you are forgotten this day
Verse 127 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:127
And thus do We reward one who exceeds the limits and does not believe in the signs of his Lord and the punishment of the hereafter is more severe and more lasting
Verse 128 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:128
Then does not (this fact serve as) guidance for them: how many of the generations, in whose dwelling places they walk, have We destroyed before them? Certainly in that there are signs for possessors of sense. (R)
Verse 129 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:129
And had a statement not gone forth from your Lord and a term appointed, the (punishment) would have become inevitable (on them)
Verse 130 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:130
So be patient on what they say and glorify your Lord by praising Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during hours of night (too) glorify (Him), and (also) at the two ends of the day, that you may be pleased
Verse 131 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:131
And do not stretch your eyes towards that with which We have made some classes of them to enjoy. (It is) a splendor of the life of this world that We may test them thereby, and the provision of your Lord is the best and more lasting
Verse 132 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:132
And enjoin worship (salat) on your people and be constant therein. We do not ask you for provision, We provide for you. And the consequence of guarding (against evil, is good)
Verse 133 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:133
And they say, "Why does he not bring to us a sign from his Lord?" Has a clear proof not come to them through that which was there in previous books
Verse 134 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:134
And had We destroyed them with punishment before (sending) him, they would have said, "Our Lord! before we were humbled and disgraced, why did you not send to us a messenger, so that we could have followed Your signs (orders).”
Verse 135 — Surah Ta-Ha 20:135
Say, "Everyone is waiting, so you (too) wait, and you will come to know who thecompanions of the balanced path are, and who is (rightly) guided
