Verse 1 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:1
Successful indeed are the believers
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:2
Those who are humble during their worship (salat)
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:3
and those who keep away from what is vain
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:4
and those who are active in giving charity (zakat)
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:5
and those who guard their private parts
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:6
except from their mates or those whom their right hands possess, then (in their case) they are certainly free of blame
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:7
but whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the persons who transgress
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:8
and those who are keepers of their trusts and their agreements
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:9
and those who guard their worship (salat)
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:10
Those are the inheritors
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:11
who will inherit paradise, they will stay in it
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:12
And We have indeed created man from something taken out from clay
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:13
Then We made it a sperm in a settling place
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:14
then We proportioned the sperm (into) that which clings and hangs like a leech, then We proportioned that which clings and hangs like a leech (into a thing like) chewed flesh, then We proportioned (the thing like) chewed flesh (into) bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We developed him in another creation. So blessed be God, the Best of Proportioners
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:15
Then after that you certainly die
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:16
Then on the day of resurrection you will certainly be raised
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:17
And We have created seven paths above you, and We are not heedless of the creation
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:18
And We send down water from the sky with a (set) programme, then We settle it in the earth, and We have the power on its removal
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:19
And from it We produce gardens of date palms and grapes for you, there are many fruits for you in them and you eat from them
Verse 20 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:20
and the (olive) tree that springs out from Mount Sinai, growing with oil (in it) and a curry for those who eat
Verse 21 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:21
And there is certainly a lesson for you in the cattle, We make you to drink from that which is in their stomachs and there are many benefits for you in them and (some) of them you eat
Verse 22 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:22
and on them and on the ships you are carried. (R)
Verse 23 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:23
And We had sent Noah to his people so he said, "O my people! serve (worship) God, there is no god for you other than Him. Will you not then guard (against the evil of worshipping others)
Verse 24 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:24
So the leaders of those who did not believe from among his people said, "He is no more than a man like yourselves, he intends to achieve superiority over you, and had God willed He would have sent down angels, We have not heard this among our ancient forefathers
Verse 25 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:25
He is nothing but a man who is possessed by jinn, so bear with him till (some) time
Verse 26 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:26
He said, "My Lord! help me because they deny me
Verse 27 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:27
So We communicated to him, "Make the ship before Our eyes and (according to) Our communication. Then when Our commandment comes and the water gushes forth from (the reservoir in) the valley, make each pair (consisting) of two, to enter the (ship) along with your people, except him among them against whom the word has already gone forth, and do not speak to me regarding those who are unjust, they will certainly be drowned
Verse 28 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:28
Then when you are balanced on the ship, you and those with you, then say: "Praise is due only for God Who delivered us from the unjust people
Verse 29 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:29
And say, "My Lord! make me alight a blessed alighting and You are the Best of those who cause to alight
Verse 30 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:30
There are certainly signs in that, and We are ever testing (people)
Verse 31 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:31
Then after them We produced another generation
Verse 32 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:32
then We sent among them a messenger from among themselves (saying), "Serve God, there is no god for you other than Him. Will you not then guard (against the evil of worshipping others)
Verse 33 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:33
And the leaders of his people who did not believe and denied the meeting of the hereafter and whom We had made to enjoy in the life of the world said, “This is no more than a man like yourselves, he eats from that from which you eat and he drinks from that which you drink
Verse 34 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:34
And if you obey a man like yourselves, then you will certainly be of the losers
Verse 35 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:35
Does he promise you, that when you are dead and you become (part of the) soil and bones, that you will be brought out (alive again)
Verse 36 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:36
Far, far is that which you are promised
Verse 37 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:37
There is nothing except our life of this world, we die and we live and we will not be of those who are raised (after death)
Verse 38 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:38
He is nothing but a man who has forged a lie against God and we are not of those who believe in him
Verse 39 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:39
He said, "My Lord! help me because they deny me
Verse 40 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:40
He said, "In a little while they will definitely become regretters
Verse 41 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:41
So a loud cry took hold of them in reality, then We made them rubbish, so away with the unjust people
Verse 42 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:42
Then after them We produced other generations
Verse 43 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:43
No community can advance its term nor can it postpone it
Verse 44 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:44
Then We sent Our messengers one after another. Whenever its messenger came to a community, it denied him, so We made some of them to follow others and We made them stories, so away with the people who do not believe
Verse 45 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:45
Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and clear authority
Verse 46 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:46
to Pharaoh and the leaders of his (people), but they considered themselves great and they were a transgressing people
Verse 47 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:47
So they said, "Shall we believe in two men like us while (the people) of their community are our servants
Verse 48 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:48
So they denied them, therefore they became of those who were destroyed
Verse 49 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:49
And We gave Moses the book that they may be guided
Verse 50 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:50
And We made the Son of Mary and his mother a sign; and for shelter We took them to a high place, with springs, (which was) meant for staying
Verse 51 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:51
O you messengers! eat from the good things and do righteous work, I certainly know about that which you do
Verse 52 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:52
And this community of yours is certainly a single community and I am your Lord so fear Me
Verse 53 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:53
But they (their followers) divided their (religious) affairs among themselves (becoming different) sects, each party being happy with that which was with it
Verse 54 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:54
So leave them in their confused ignorance till a time
Verse 55 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:55
Do they think that by Our helping them with wealth and sons
Verse 56 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:56
We are hastening good things for them? No! they do not perceive
Verse 57 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:57
Those who are afraid due to the fear of their Lord
Verse 58 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:58
and those who believe in the signs of their Lord
Verse 59 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:59
and those who do not associate partners with their Lord
Verse 60 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:60
and those who give that which they give, with their hearts full of fear because they have to return to their Lord
Verse 61 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:61
those are the persons who certainly hasten in good things and they are foremost in them
Verse 62 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:62
And We do not task a soul except to its capacity. And with Us is a record which speaks the truth, and they will not be dealt with unjustly
Verse 63 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:63
No ! their hearts are in a confused ignorance about this, and theirs are works besides that, which they (go on) doing
Verse 64 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:64
until when We afflict those who are well off among them with punishment, then they will cry for help
Verse 65 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:65
Do not cry for help this day, you will certainly not be helped by Us
Verse 66 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:66
My signs were indeed read to you but you used to turn back on your heels
Verse 67 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:67
considering yourselves great with respect to them, getting engaged in story telling and shameful talk
Verse 68 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:68
Do they not reflect on the word or has there come to them (something) which had not come to their ancient forefathers
Verse 69 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:69
Or are they not recognizing their messenger, (and) therefore they are rejecting him
Verse 70 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:70
Or do they say he is possessed by jinn? No! he has come to them with the truth but most of them are haters of truth
Verse 71 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:71
And had the truth followed their desires, then the skies and the earth and whoever (whatever) is therein would have surely been in disorder. No! We have given to them their reminder but they turn away from their reminder
Verse 72 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:72
Or do you ask them for a recompense (for preaching)? Then the recompense of your Lord is the best and He is the Best of those who provide
Verse 73 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:73
And you are certainly inviting them to the straight path
Verse 74 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:74
but those who do not believe in the hereafter, they are certainly deviating from the path
Verse 75 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:75
And (even) if We show mercy to them and remove the harm with which they are afflicted, they would still persist blindly wandering on in their rebellion
Verse 76 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:76
And We had caught them in the punishment but (even then) they do not submit themselves to their Lord, and they do not humble themselves
Verse 77 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:77
until when We open on them the door of severe punishment, then they will be in despair therein. (R)
Verse 78 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:78
And He it is Who has produced for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts (but) the gratitude which you show is (comparatively) less
Verse 79 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:79
And He it is Who has multiplied (and spread) you in the earth and to Him you will be gathered
Verse 80 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:80
And He it is Who gives life and causes death and the alternation of the night and the day is due to Him. Will you not then understand
Verse 81 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:81
No ! they say the like of that which the ancients said
Verse 82 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:82
They say, "What! when we are dead and become (part of the) soil and bones, will we really be raised
Verse 83 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:83
We are promised this, we and our forefathers earlier, these are nothing but stories of the ancient
Verse 84 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:84
Say, "Whose is the earth and whoever is therein, if you know
Verse 85 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:85
They will say, "God's." Say, "Will you not then be mindful
Verse 86 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:86
Say, "Whose is the Fostering of the seven skies (higher levels) and the Lordship of the great throne (of the universe)
Verse 87 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:87
They will say, "God's." Say, "Will you not then guard (against evil)
Verse 88 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:88
Say, "Who is it in Whose hand is the control of everything and He protects and there is no (one who can) protect against Him, if you know
Verse 89 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:89
They will say, "(This is also in) God's (control)." Say, “Then how are you under the influence of magic?”
Verse 90 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:90
No ! We have brought to them the truth but they are certainly liars
Verse 91 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:91
God has not taken any son nor is there any (other) god with Him, (had there been two or more gods, then) in that case, each god would have taken away that which he had created and some would have dominated over others, glorified be God above that which they describe
Verse 92 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:92
Knower of the unseen and the seen and He is Highly Exalted above that which they associate as partners (with Him)
Verse 93 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:93
Say, "My Lord! if you show me that which they are promised
Verse 94 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:94
my Lord! then do not make me to be among the unjust people
Verse 95 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:95
And We are certainly able to show you that which We have promised them
Verse 96 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:96
Repel evil with that which is the best, We know best about that which they describe
Verse 97 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:97
And say, "My Lord! I seek Your protection from the suggestions of the devils
Verse 98 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:98
and I seek Your protection, my Lord! lest they be present with me
Verse 99 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:99
(Some people continue to do evil) until when death comes to one of them (then) he says. "My Lord! send me back
Verse 100 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:100
that I may set right in (the world, all wrongs) which I have left behind." By no means! It is (only) a sentence which he says. And behind them is a barrier till the day they are raised
Verse 101 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:101
Then when it will be blown into the trumpet (structure of the universe) then there will be no relationships between them on that day and (therefore) they will not (be able to) demand from one another
Verse 102 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:102
Then those whose weight (of good) is heavy, those are the successful persons
Verse 103 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:103
And those whose weight (of good) is light, those are the persons who (have put) themselves (in) loss, they will stay in hell
Verse 104 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:104
The fire will burn their faces, and (due to severe suffering), they will have therein, an expression of torture with their lips apart
Verse 105 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:105
Were not My signs read to you? But you used to deny them
Verse 106 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:106
They will say, "Our Lord! our misfortune prevailed over us and we became a misguided people
Verse 107 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:107
Our Lord ! take us out of this, if we again return (to evil) then we will certainly be unjust
Verse 108 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:108
He will say, "Go away into it and do not speak to Me
Verse 109 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:109
There was a party from among My servants who said: Our Lord ! we believe, so protectively forgive us and have mercy on us and you are the Best of those who are merciful
Verse 110 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:110
But you took them as a ridicule to the extent that they made you forget (even) My remembrance and you used to laugh at (some) of them
Verse 111 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:111
I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, they are certainly the achievers (of success)
Verse 112 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:112
He will say, "How long did you stay in the earth, counting in years
Verse 113 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:113
They will say, "We stayed for a day or part of a day but ask those who keep the account
Verse 114 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:114
He will say, "You did not stay but a little, had you but known
Verse 115 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:115
Did you then think that We created you without any purpose and that you will not be returned to Us
Verse 116 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:116
So Highly Exalted is God the Real King, there is no god except Him, Lord of the honoured throne (of the universe)
Verse 117 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:117
And he who prays to another (presumed) god along with God, having no proof with him of it (being a god), then (the responsibility of taking) his account (rests) only on God. The disbelievers will certainly not be successful
Verse 118 — Surah Al-Muminun 23:118
And say, "My Lord! protectively forgive and have mercy and You are the Best of those who are merciful
