Verse 2 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:2

Those are the signs of the book that makes clear

Verse 3 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:3

You will perhaps kill yourself with grief because they do not believe

Verse 4 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:4

If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky, so that their necks would remain bowed down before it

Verse 5 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:5

And there does not come to them any new reminder from the Beneficent (God) but they turn away from it

Verse 6 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:6

So they have denied (it), therefore the news of that which they mock at, will come to them

Verse 7 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:7

Did they not see towards the earth how many beneficial (things) of every kind have We caused to grow in it

Verse 8 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:8

There is certainly a sign in that but the majority of them does not believe

Verse 9 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:9

And your Lord ! He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful

Verse 10 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:10

And when your Lord called out to Moses, that, "Go to the unjust people

Verse 11 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:11

people of Pharaoh. Will they not guard (against evil)

Verse 12 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:12

He said, "My Lord! I fear that they will deny me

Verse 13 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:13

further, my bosom straitens and my language is not fluent, so send for Aaron (to help me)

Verse 14 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:14

And they have (the charge of) a crime against me so I fear that they will kill me

Verse 15 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:15

He said, "By no means, so both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, Hearing

Verse 16 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:16

So go to Pharaoh then say: We are sent (by) the Lord of the worlds (with a message)

Verse 17 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:17

that you should send the children of Israel with us

Verse 18 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:18

He (Pharaoh) said, "Were you not fostered among us as a child? And you did stay among us for many years of your life

Verse 19 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:19

and you did that deed of yours which you did and you are of the ungrateful ones

Verse 20 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:20

He said, "I did it then, when I was of those in error

Verse 21 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:21

so I fled from you when I feared you, but my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers

Verse 22 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:22

Now (should) that favour with which you favoured me (become the cause) for your enslaving the children of Isreal?”

Verse 23 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:23

Pharaoh said, "And who is the Lord of the worlds

Verse 24 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:24

He said, "The Lord of the skies and the earth and that which is between them, if you (want) to be of those who are certain

Verse 25 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:25

He said to those around him, "Do you not hear

Verse 26 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:26

He said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers

Verse 27 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:27

He said, "Your messenger who has been sent to you is certainly possessed by jinn

Verse 28 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:28

He said, "Lord of the east and the west and that which is between them, if you have sense

Verse 29 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:29

He said, "If you take a god other than me I will definitely place you among the prisoners

Verse 30 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:30

He said, "Even if I bring to you something as a clear proof

Verse 31 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:31

He said, "Then bring it, if you are of the truthful ones

Verse 32 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:32

So he threw down his staff when it became a clear serpent

Verse 33 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:33

and he drew out his hand when it became white for those who were seeing

Verse 34 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:34

He (Pharaoh) said to the leaders (of his community) around him, "This is certainly a learned magician

Verse 35 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:35

he intends to drive you out from your land by his magic, so what do you advise

Verse 36 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:36

They said, "Keep him and his brother (waiting) in hope and send into the cities (your officials) who gather (people)

Verse 37 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:37

(so that) they should bring to you every learned magician

Verse 38 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:38

So the magicians were gathered at the appointed time on a known day

Verse 39 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:39

And it was said to the people, "Will you gather

Verse 40 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:40

so that we may follow the magicians if they are the winners

Verse 41 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:41

So when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there a sure reward for us if we are the winners

Verse 42 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:42

He said, "Yes, then you will certainly be of those who are near (to me)

Verse 43 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:43

Moses said to them, "Cast down what you are going to cast down

Verse 44 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:44

So they cast down their ropes and their rods and said, "By the might of Pharaoh we will certainly be winners

Verse 45 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:45

Then Moses cast down his staff when it swallowed that which they had falsely devised

Verse 46 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:46

Consequently the magicians were thrown down prostrating

Verse 47 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:47

They said, "We believe in the Lord of the worlds

Verse 48 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:48

Lord of Moses and Aaron

Verse 49 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:49

He (Pharaoh) said, "You believe in him before I give you permission, he is certainly your chief who taught you magic, but you will know, I will definitely cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides and I will definitely crucify you all together

Verse 50 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:50

They said, "No harm, we will return to our Lord

Verse 51 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:51

we certainly hope that our Lord will protectively forgive us our faults, because we are the first of the believers

Verse 52 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:52

And We communicated to Moses that, "Take away my servants by night, you will be pursued

Verse 53 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:53

So Pharaoh sent into the cities (his officials) who gathered (people)

Verse 54 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:54

(saying), "They are certainly a small party

Verse 55 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:55

and they have angered us

Verse 56 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:56

and we are an alert army

Verse 57 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:57

Thus did We drive them out from gardens and springs

Verse 58 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:58

and treasures and an honoured position

Verse 59 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:59

Like that (it happened). And We made the children of Israel to inherit them

Verse 60 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:60

So they pursued them at sunrise

Verse 61 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:61

So when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Moses said, "We are caught

Verse 62 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:62

He said, "By no means, My Lord is certainly with me, He will guide me

Verse 63 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:63

So We communicated to Moses that, "Strike the sea with your staff," so it was split and each part became like a great mountain

Verse 64 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:64

And We brought others near, there (at the same place)

Verse 65 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:65

and We delivered Moses and those with him, all together

Verse 66 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:66

then We drowned the others

Verse 67 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:67

In that there is certainly a sign, but the majority of them does not believe

Verse 68 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:68

And your Lord, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful

Verse 69 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:69

And Tell them the story of Abraham

Verse 70 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:70

when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship

Verse 71 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:71

They said, "We worship idols and we will remain sticking to them

Verse 72 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:72

He said, "Do they listen to you when you pray to (them)

Verse 73 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:73

or benefit you or harm you

Verse 74 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:74

They said, "No, we found our fathers doing like that

Verse 75 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:75

He said, "Then do you see, that which you worship

Verse 76 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:76

you and your fathers before you

Verse 77 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:77

For they are enemies to me except the Lord of the worlds

Verse 78 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:78

Who created me, then He it is Who guides me

Verse 79 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:79

and Who feeds me and gives me to drink

Verse 80 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:80

and when I am sick, then He it is Who cures me

Verse 81 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:81

and Who will cause me to die, then give me life (again)

Verse 82 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:82

and (from) Whom I hope, that He will protectively forgive me my mistakes on the day of judgment

Verse 83 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:83

My Lord! grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous

Verse 84 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:84

and assign for me a true mention among later (generations)

Verse 85 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:85

and place me among the inheritors of the garden of bliss

Verse 86 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:86

and protectively forgive my father, he is certainly among those who are astray

Verse 87 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:87

and do not disgrace me on the day they are raised (again)

Verse 88 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:88

the day on which neither wealth nor sons will benefit

Verse 89 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:89

except him who comes to God with a pure heart

Verse 90 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:90

And the garden will be brought near for those who guard (against evil)

Verse 91 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:91

And the hell will be made manifest to the erring ones

Verse 92 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:92

And it will be said to them, "Where are those whom you used to worship

Verse 93 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:93

besides God? Can they help you or help themselves

Verse 94 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:94

Then they will be thrown headlong into it, they and the misleaders

Verse 95 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:95

and the army of Iblis (devil), all together

Verse 96 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:96

They will say while they quarrel therein

Verse 97 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:97

By God, we were certainly in clear error

Verse 98 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:98

when we considered you equal to the Lord of the worlds

Verse 99 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:99

and no one has misled us except the criminals

Verse 100 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:100

so we have no mediators

Verse 101 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:101

and no intimate friend

Verse 102 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:102

So if we are given (another chance to) return (to the world), then we will certainly be of those who believe

Verse 103 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:103

There is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe

Verse 104 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:104

And your Lord, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful

Verse 105 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:105

The people of Noah denied the messengers

Verse 106 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:106

when their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)

Verse 107 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:107

I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you

Verse 108 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:108

so fear God and obey me

Verse 109 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:109

and l do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Lord of the worlds

Verse 110 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:110

so fear God and obey me

Verse 111 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:111

They said, "Shall we believe in you when the worst (people) follow you

Verse 112 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:112

He said, "And what knowledge do I have of what they do

Verse 113 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:113

(The responsibility of taking) their account is on none but my Lord, if you (could only) realize

Verse 114 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:114

And I am not (supposed) to drive away the believers

Verse 115 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:115

I am nothing but a plain warner

Verse 116 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:116

They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah! you will definitely be of those who are stoned (to death)

Verse 117 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:117

He said, "My Lord! my people have certainly denied me

Verse 118 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:118

so decide between me and them (by pronouncing) a judgment, and deliver me and those of the believers who are with me

Verse 119 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:119

So We delivered him and those with him, in the loaded ship

Verse 120 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:120

Then after that We drowned those who remained behind

Verse 121 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:121

There is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe

Verse 122 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:122

And your Lord, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful

Verse 123 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:123

The (people of) Aad denied the messengers

Verse 124 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:124

when their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)

Verse 125 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:125

I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you

Verse 126 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:126

so fear God and obey me

Verse 127 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:127

and I do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Lord of the worlds

Verse 128 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:128

Do you build a monument on every high place, without any purpose

Verse 129 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:129

And you take (for dwellings) strong fortresses that perhaps you may stay (in them for ever)

Verse 130 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:130

And when you take hold (of people), you take hold (of them) as tyrants

Verse 131 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:131

So fear God and obey me

Verse 132 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:132

And fear Him Who helped you with that which you know

Verse 133 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:133

He has helped you with cattle and sons

Verse 134 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:134

and gardens and springs

Verse 135 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:135

I certainly fear for you the punishment of the great day

Verse 136 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:136

They said, "It is equal to us whether you admonish or you do not be of those who admonish

Verse 137 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:137

This is nothing but a customary (warning) of the ancient

Verse 138 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:138

and we will not be punished

Verse 139 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:139

Thus they denied him, therefore We destroyed them, there is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe

Verse 140 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:140

And your Lord, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful

Verse 141 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:141

The (people of) Thamud denied the messengers

Verse 142 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:142

when their brother Saleh said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)

Verse 143 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:143

I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you

Verse 144 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:144

so fear God and obey me

Verse 145 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:145

And I do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Lord of the worlds

Verse 146 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:146

Will you be left secure in that which is here

Verse 147 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:147

in gardens and springs

Verse 148 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:148

and cultivations and date palms, the spathes of which break (due to the weight of the fruit)

Verse 149 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:149

And you exultingly carve houses out of mountains

Verse 150 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:150

so fear God and obey me

Verse 151 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:151

and do not obey the command of the extravagant

Verse 152 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:152

who cause corruption in the earth and do not act aright

Verse 153 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:153

They said, "You are only one of the bewitched

Verse 154 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:154

you are nothing but a man like us, so bring a sign if you are of the truthful ones

Verse 155 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:155

He said, "This is a she-camel, for it there (is a portion of water for) drinking and for you (a portion of water for) drinking on a known day

Verse 156 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:156

And do not afflict her with evil lest the punishment of a great day seize you

Verse 157 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:157

But they stabbed her then became regretters

Verse 158 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:158

So the punishment seized them, there is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe

Verse 159 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:159

And your Lord, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful. (R)

Verse 160 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:160

The people of Lot denied the messengers

Verse 161 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:161

when their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)

Verse 162 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:162

I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you

Verse 163 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:163

so fear God and obey me

Verse 164 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:164

and I do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Lord of the worlds

Verse 165 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:165

What! of all creatures you approach males

Verse 166 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:166

and leave those of your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, you are a transgressing people

Verse 167 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:167

They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot! you will definitely be of those who are driven out

Verse 168 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:168

He said, "I am certainly of those who hate your acts

Verse 169 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:169

My Lord ! deliver me and my followers from that which they do

Verse 170 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:170

So We delivered him and his followers all together

Verse 171 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:171

except an old woman, (who was) among those who remained behind

Verse 172 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:172

Then We destroyed the others

Verse 173 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:173

and We rained on them a rain, so evil was the rain of those who were warned

Verse 174 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:174

There is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe

Verse 175 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:175

And your Lord, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful (R)

Verse 176 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:176

The inhabitants of the jungle denied the messengers

Verse 177 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:177

when Shuaib said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)

Verse 178 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:178

I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you

Verse 179 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:179

so fear God and obey me

Verse 180 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:180

and I do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Lord of the worlds

Verse 181 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:181

Give back full measure and do not be of those who cause loss

Verse 182 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:182

And weigh with a balance that is straight (correct)

Verse 183 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:183

and do not give less to people, the things due to them, and do not cause disturbance in the earth being corrupt

Verse 184 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:184

and fear Him Who created you and the ancient generations

Verse 185 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:185

They said, "You are only one of the bewitched

Verse 186 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:186

and you are nothing but a man like us, and our guess about you is that you are of those who lie

Verse 187 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:187

Then make pieces from the sky to fall on us if you are of the truthful ones

Verse 188 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:188

He said, "My Lord knows best about what you do

Verse 189 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:189

So they denied him therefore the punishment of the over shadowing cloud seized them, it was certainly a punishment of a great day

Verse 190 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:190

There is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe

Verse 191 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:191

And your Lord, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful

Verse 192 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:192

And the (Quran) has certainly been sent down by the Lord of the worlds

Verse 193 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:193

the trustworthy spirit came down with it

Verse 194 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:194

on your heart that you may be (one) of the warners

Verse 195 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:195

in plain Arabic language

Verse 196 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:196

and it is (mentioned) in ancient scriptures (too)

Verse 197 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:197

Is it not a sign for them that the learned (men among) the children of Israel know it

Verse 198 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:198

And had We sent it down on any of the foreigners

Verse 199 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:199

and had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it

Verse 200 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:200

Thus did We cause it to enter into the hearts of the criminals

Verse 201 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:201

(that) they should not believe in it till they see the painful punishment

Verse 202 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:202

which will come upon them suddenly while they are not conscious

Verse 203 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:203

then they will say, "Shall we be given time (for amendment)

Verse 204 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:204

What ! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment

Verse 205 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:205

Then do you see? If We make them enjoy for years

Verse 206 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:206

then there comes to them that which they were promised

Verse 207 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:207

(at that time), that which they were made to enjoy will not be of any use to them

Verse 208 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:208

And We did not destroy any town but it had its warners

Verse 209 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:209

(for) reminding, and We are not unjust

Verse 210 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:210

And the devils have not come down with the (Quran)

Verse 211 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:211

and it neither suits them nor are they capable (of doing it)

Verse 212 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:212

(on the contrary) they have been removed far away (even) from hearing (it)

Verse 213 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:213

So do not pray to another (presumed) god with God, lest you be of those who are punished

Verse 214 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:214

And warn your family (consisting) of close relatives

Verse 215 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:215

And lower your wing for him who follows you from among the believers

Verse 216 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:216

And if they disobey you then say, "I am certainly free of that which you do

Verse 217 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:217

And put your trust in the Mighty, the Merciful

Verse 218 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:218

Who sees you when you stand

Verse 219 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:219

and your movements among those who prostrate

Verse 220 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:220

He is certainly the Hearing, the Knowing

Verse 221 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:221

Should I inform you (of those) on whom the devils come down

Verse 222 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:222

They come down on every liar, sinner

Verse 223 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:223

they deliver hearsay and most of them are liars

Verse 224 — Surah Ash-Shuara 26:224

And the poets, those in error follow them
