Verse 1 — Surah Al-Imran 3:1

Verse 2 — Surah Al-Imran 3:2

God, there is no god except Him, the Living, the Eternally Existing

Verse 3 — Surah Al-Imran 3:3

He has sent down on you the book containing the truth, confirming that which was before it. And He had sent down the Torah and the Gospel

Verse 4 — Surah Al-Imran 3:4

before, for the guidance of human beings. And He has sent down the distinction (between right and wrong, the Quran). Those who do not believe in the signs of God, for them there is certainly a severe punishment, and God is Mighty, the Inflictor of retribution

Verse 5 — Surah Al-Imran 3:5

Certainly, nothing is hidden from God in the earth or in the sky

Verse 6 — Surah Al-Imran 3:6

He it is Who gives you form in the wombs, as He wills, there is no god except Him, the Mighty, the Wise

Verse 7 — Surah Al-Imran 3:7

He it is Who has sent down the book to you, in it are statements which are decisive, they are the basis of the book and others are allegorical. So those in whose hearts is (a desire for) deviation from the right, they follow that which is allegorical in it, seeking to mislead and seeking to interpret it, and no one knows its interpretation except God; and those sound in knowledge say, “We believe in it, all is from our Lord, and no one minds except those who have understanding

Verse 8 — Surah Al-Imran 3:8

Our Lord ! do not let our hearts deviate from the right after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You, You are the One Who grants

Verse 9 — Surah Al-Imran 3:9

Our Lord ! one day You will gather (all) human beings, there is no doubt in it, God certainly does not go against (His) promise.”

Verse 10 — Surah Al-Imran 3:10

Those who do not believe, their wealth and their children will certainly not keep them safe from God in anything; and they are the persons who will be the fuel of the fire

Verse 11 — Surah Al-Imran 3:11

like the people of Pharaoh and those before them, they denied Our signs, so God caught them for their sins and God is severe in requiting

Verse 12 — Surah Al-Imran 3:12

Say to those who do not believe, "You will be overcome and gathered towards hell, and it is an evil place of habitation

Verse 13 — Surah Al-Imran 3:13

Indeed there was a sign for you in the meeting of the two groups (at the battle of Badr) , one party fighting in the way of God and the others were disbelievers. They saw twice their numbers (with) the sight of the eye (that is, it was not imagination) and God strengthens with His help whom He wills. In this there is certainly a lesson for those who have insight

Verse 14 — Surah Al-Imran 3:14

Beautified for mankind is the love of lusty feelings (that arise) due to women, and sons and treasures hoarded with gold and silver and horses of mark (means of conveyance) and cattle and tilth, that is the provision of the life of this world, while the best home is with God

Verse 15 — Surah Al-Imran 3:15

Say, "Shall I inform you of something better than that? For those who guard (against evil), there are gardens with their Lord for staying in them, beneath which rivers flow, and pure mates and pleasure from God, and God is the Seer of His servants

Verse 16 — Surah Al-Imran 3:16

who say: Our Lord! we certainly believe so protectively forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the fire

Verse 17 — Surah Al-Imran 3:17

the patient and the truthful and the devoutly obedient and those who spend and those who ask for protective forgiveness in the early hours of morning

Verse 18 — Surah Al-Imran 3:18

God bears witness that there is no god except Him and the angels and possessors of knowledge established on justice (too, that ) there is no god except Him, the Mighty the Wise

Verse 19 — Surah Al-Imran 3:19

(True) religion with God is certainly Al-Islam(submitting will to God). And those who were given the book differed only after the knowledge (that) had come to them, due to mutual envy. And whoever does not believe in the signs of God, then God is certainly Quick at (settling) the account

Verse 20 — Surah Al-Imran 3:20

So if they dispute with you then say, "I have submitted myself (totally) to God and (so have) those who follow me," and say to those who were given the book and those who are not learned, "Do you submit?" So if they submit, then indeed they are rightly guided, but if they turn away then (the responsibility) upon you is only conveyance of the message and God is the Seer of His servants

Verse 21 — Surah Al-Imran 3:21

Convey the news of a painful punishment to those who do not believe in the signs of God and slay the prophets without having the right to do so and slay those who enjoin justice from among human beings

Verse 22 — Surah Al-Imran 3:22

Those are the persons whose deeds have become fruitless in the world and the hereafter, and they have no helpers

Verse 23 — Surah Al-Imran 3:23

Did you not consider those who were given a part of the book? (When) they are called towards the book of God that it may decide between them, then a sect of them turn back and they keep away

Verse 24 — Surah Al-Imran 3:24

That is because they say, "The fire shall not touch us except for a certain number of days." And that which they have forged deceives them in their religion

Verse 25 — Surah Al-Imran 3:25

So how will it be when We will gather them on a day, about which there is no doubt, and every soul will be paid in full for that which it earned and injustice will not be done to them

Verse 26 — Surah Al-Imran 3:26

Say,"O God! owner of authority, You give authority to whom You will, and You take away authority from whom You will, and You give the might to whom You will and You disgrace whom You will, in Your hand is good, You certainly have power over everything

Verse 27 — Surah Al-Imran 3:27

You make the night to enter into the day and You make the day to enter into the night and You bring out the living from the dead and You bring out the dead from the living and You provide without measure to whom You will

Verse 28 — Surah Al-Imran 3:28

Believers should not take disbelievers as guardians instead of the believers—and whoever does so will have nothing to hope for from God—unless it is a precaution against their tyranny. And God warns you about Himself. And to God is the final return

Verse 29 — Surah Al-Imran 3:29

Say, "Whether you hide that which is in your bosoms or manifest it, God knows it, and He knows whatever is in the skies and whatever is in the earth and God has power over everything

Verse 30 — Surah Al-Imran 3:30

The day every soul will find that which it did of good present (before it) along with that which it did of evil, it shall wish that between it (soul) and the (evil) there were a long distance. And God makes you cautious of Himself and God is full of pity for (His) servants

Verse 31 — Surah Al-Imran 3:31

Say, "If you love God then follow me, God will love you and protectively forgive you your sins and God is Protectively Forgiving, Merciful

Verse 32 — Surah Al-Imran 3:32

Say, "Obey God and the messenger." But if they turn away, then God certainly does not like the disbelievers

Verse 33 — Surah Al-Imran 3:33

God certainly selected Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of Joachim above the worlds

Verse 34 — Surah Al-Imran 3:34

Some of them were offspring of the others, and God is Hearing, Knowing

Verse 35 — Surah Al-Imran 3:35

When the wife of Joachim said, "My Lord ! I vow to you that which is in my womb to be set free (for your service), so accept (it) from me. You are certainly Hearing, Knowing

Verse 36 — Surah Al-Imran 3:36

Then when she delivered it, she said, "My Lord! I have delivered it a female." And God knew best what she had delivered, and the male is not like the female. "And I have named her mary and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring, from the devil, the outcast

Verse 37 — Surah Al-Imran 3:37

So her Lord accepted her with a good acceptance and made her (Mary) grow into a good growth and gave her into the guardianship of Zechariah. Whenever Zechariah entered the sanctuary to (see) her, he found provision (food) with her, he said, "O Mary! from where (does) this (provision) come to you?" She said, "It is from (that which is ) with God." God certainly provides without measure to whom He wills

Verse 38 — Surah Al-Imran 3:38

There did Zechariah pray to his Lord saying, "O my Lord! grant me from Yourself good offspring, You are certainly the Hearer of prayer

Verse 39 — Surah Al-Imran 3:39

So when he stood worshipping in the sanctuary, the angels announced to him that, "God conveys to you the good news of John, confirmer of the word from God and a chief, and chaste and a prophet from among the righteous

Verse 40 — Surah Al-Imran 3:40

He said, "My Lord! how can I have a son when I have reached old age and my wife is barren?" He (God) said, "Like that, God does what He wills

Verse 41 — Surah Al-Imran 3:41

He said, "My Lord! appoint a sign for me, "He said", "The sign for you is that you will not speak to human beings for three days except by gesture, and remember your Lord much and glorify (Him) in the evening and the morning

Verse 42 — Surah Al-Imran 3:42

And when the angels said, "O mary ! God has certainly chosen you and cleaned you and chosen you above the women of the worlds

Verse 43 — Surah Al-Imran 3:43

O Mary! be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow down with those who bow down

Verse 44 — Surah Al-Imran 3:44

That is from the news of the unseen (which) We communicate to you, and you were not with them when they cast their pens* (to know) which of them should be the guardian of mary nor were you with them when they disputed (about this issue)

Verse 45 — Surah Al-Imran 3:45

When the angels said, "O Mary! certainly, God conveys to you the good news of a word from Him, his name is the Messiah, Jesus, the Son of Mary, worthy of regard in the world and the hereafter, and from among those who are near (to God)

Verse 46 — Surah Al-Imran 3:46

And he will talk to human beings (while) in the cradle and (in) old age, and (he will be) from among the righteous

Verse 47 — Surah Al-Imran 3:47

(She) said, "O My Lord ! how can I have a son when man has not touched me?" He said, "Like that, God creates what He wills, when He decrees an affair then, He says to only, "Be," so it is. it is

Verse 48 — Surah Al-Imran 3:48

And He will teach him the book and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel

Verse 49 — Surah Al-Imran 3:49

and (he will be) a messenger sent to the children of Israel, (saying) that: I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I make for you from clay, a figure like that of a bird, then I blow into it, so it becomes a bird by the permission of God; and I heal the blind by birth and the leper and I bring to life the dead by God's permission and I inform you of that which you eat and that which you store in your houses; in that there is certainly a sign for you if you are believers

Verse 50 — Surah Al-Imran 3:50

And I am a testifier for that which is before me of the Torah, and (I have come) to make lawful for you something of that which was forbidden to you and I have come to you with a sign from your Lord so fear God and obey me

Verse 51 — Surah Al-Imran 3:51

God is certainly my Lord and your Lord, so serve Him, this is the straight path

Verse 52 — Surah Al-Imran 3:52

So when Jesus perceived disbelief from them, (he) said, "Who will be my helpers for (the sake of) God." The disciples said, "We are God's helpers, we believe in God and you bear witness that we have submitted (as Muslims)

Verse 53 — Surah Al-Imran 3:53

Our Lord ! we believe in that which you have sent down and we follow the messenger, so record us with those who bear witness

Verse 54 — Surah Al-Imran 3:54

So they planned and God planned (too) and God is the Best of planners

Verse 55 — Surah Al-Imran 3:55

When God said, "O Jesus ! I will take you back and raise you towards Myself and clean you from those who do not believe; and towards the day of resurrection, I will make those who follow you, above those who do not believe, then towards Me you will all return then I will judge between you in (matters) in which you disagreed

Verse 56 — Surah Al-Imran 3:56

Then as for those who do not believe, I will punish them with a severe punishment in the world and the hereafter and for them there will be no helpers." and the hereafter and for them there will be no helpers

Verse 57 — Surah Al-Imran 3:57

And as for those who believe and do righteous works, He will give them their rewards in full, and God does not like those who are unjust

Verse 58 — Surah Al-Imran 3:58

This (is what) We read to you, from the signs and a wise reminder

Verse 59 — Surah Al-Imran 3:59

The likeness of Jesus, with God is certainly as the likeness of Adam. (He) proportioned him from the soil, then said to him, "Be," so he was (created)

Verse 60 — Surah Al-Imran 3:60

(This is) the truth from your Lord, so do not be of those who doubt

Verse 61 — Surah Al-Imran 3:61

Therefore, if anyone disputes with you in this (affair) after the knowledge which has come to you, then say, "Come! let us call our sons and your sons and our women and your women and ourselves and yourselves, then we will pray humbly and invoke the curse of God on the deniers (of truth)

Verse 62 — Surah Al-Imran 3:62

This is certainly the true narrative and there is no one (as) god except God and God is certainly the Mighty, the Wise

Verse 63 — Surah Al-Imran 3:63

So if they turn back, then God is certainly the Knower of those who are corrupt

Verse 64 — Surah Al-Imran 3:64

Say, "O owners of the book! come to an equitable word between us and you, that we will not serve (worship) anyone except God and we will not associate any partner with Him and some of us will not take others as Lords, besides God." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are those who have submitted (as Muslims)

Verse 65 — Surah Al-Imran 3:65

O owners of the book ! why do you dispute about Abraham, when Torah and the Gospel were sent down only after him. What ! then have you no sense

Verse 66 — Surah Al-Imran 3:66

Yes, you are those who disputed about that of which you had knowledge but why do you dispute about that of which you have no knowledge? And God knows and you do not know. dispute about that of which you have no knowledge? And God knows and you do not know

Verse 67 — Surah Al-Imran 3:67

Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian but he was upright, one who submitted (as a Muslim), and he was not of the polytheists

Verse 68 — Surah Al-Imran 3:68

The nearest among mankind to Abraham are certainly those who followed him and this prophet and those who believe, and God is the Guardian of the believers

Verse 69 — Surah Al-Imran 3:69

A party of the owners of the book like to mislead you, and they do not mislead (anyone) except themselves but they do not perceive

Verse 70 — Surah Al-Imran 3:70

O owners of the book! why do you not believe in the signs of God when you are witnesses

Verse 71 — Surah Al-Imran 3:71

O owners of the book ! why do you cover the truth with falsehood and hide the truth when you know

Verse 72 — Surah Al-Imran 3:72

And a party of the owners of the book say, "Believe in (the Quran), which has been sent down on those who believe, at the beginning of the day and reject it at the end of it, so that they may return (to disbelief)

Verse 73 — Surah Al-Imran 3:73

and believe only in him who follows your religion." Say, "Guidance of God is certainly the guidance, (and any) one can be given the like of what you were given (as guidance)." Otherwise they will dispute with you before your Lord. Say, "Grace is certainly in the hand of God, He gives it to whom He wills, and God is Ample-giving, Knowing

Verse 74 — Surah Al-Imran 3:74

He selects for His mercy whom He wills and God is the Possessor of great grace

Verse 75 — Surah Al-Imran 3:75

And from among the owners of the book, there is he who, if you entrust him with a heap of wealth, he will pay it back to you, and from among them there is he who, if you entrust him with a dinar (even a small account), he will not pay it back to you unless you stand over him (demanding it). That is because they say, "There is no way (responsibility) upon us in (connection with) the unlearned people (Arabs)," and they speak a lie against God while they know. it). That is because they say, "There is no way (responsibility) upon us in (connection with) the unlearned people (Arabs)," and they speak a lie against God while they know

Verse 76 — Surah Al-Imran 3:76

Why not ! whoever fulfils his agreement and guards (against evil), then God certainly likes those who guard (against evil)

Verse 77 — Surah Al-Imran 3:77

Those who sell God's agreement and their oaths for a small price, those are certainly the persons for whom there is no portion in the hereafter and God will not speak to them and He will not (even) look towards them on the day of resurrection and He will not purify them and for them there will be a painful punishment

Verse 78 — Surah Al-Imran 3:78

And from among them there is a party who twist their tongues (in such a manner while reading) the book that you certainly consider it (to be) from the book, although it is not from the book, and they say it is from God though it is not from God and they speak a lie against God while they know

Verse 79 — Surah Al-Imran 3:79

It is not (possible) for a man that God should give him the book and wisdom and prophet hood, then he should say to people, "Be my servants (worshippers) besides God," but (he would say), "You be servants of the Lord because you teach the book and because you study (it)

Verse 80 — Surah Al-Imran 3:80

And neither would he command you that you should take the angels and prophets as Lords. What ! would he command you to be disbelievers after you have submitted (as Muslims)

Verse 81 — Surah Al-Imran 3:81

And when God took a pledge from the prophets, "Behold ! that which I give you of the book and wisdom, then (when) there comes to you a messenger confirming that which is with you, you must definitely believe in him and you must definitely help him (probably by propagating the news of the coming of prophet Muhammad, among their respective followers)." He asked, "Do you agree and do you accept My burden (responsibility) concerning this (matter)?" They replied, "We agree." He said, "Then bear witness and I am (also) with you from among those who bear witness

Verse 82 — Surah Al-Imran 3:82

So whoever turns back after this, then those only are the transgressors

Verse 83 — Surah Al-Imran 3:83

What ! do they seek a religion other than the religion of God, when to Him submits whoever (and whatever) is in the skies and the earth willingly and unwillingly and towards Him they will be returned

Verse 84 — Surah Al-Imran 3:84

Say, "We believe in God and that which has been sent down on us and that which had been sent down on Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes and that which had been given to Moses and Jesus and the prophets, from their Lord, we make no distinction between any of them and we submit to Him (as Muslims)

Verse 85 — Surah Al-Imran 3:85

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam(Other than submitting will to God), then it will not be accepted from him and in the hereafter he will be among those who are the losers

Verse 86 — Surah Al-Imran 3:86

How would God guide a people who became disbelievers after their belief, although they had borne witness that the messenger is true and there had come to them clear proofs? And God does not guide the unjust people

Verse 87 — Surah Al-Imran 3:87

The reward of such persons is that, upon them is the curse of God and the angels and mankind, all together

Verse 88 — Surah Al-Imran 3:88

They will remain in it, the punishment will not be lightened on them nor will they be given time

Verse 89 — Surah Al-Imran 3:89

except those who repent after that and act aright, for God is certainly Protectively Forgiving, Merciful

Verse 90 — Surah Al-Imran 3:90

Those who became disbelievers after their belief then increased in disbelief, their repentance will certainly not be accepted, and those are the persons who are astray

Verse 91 — Surah Al-Imran 3:91

Those who became disbelievers and died while they were disbelievers, (even) the earth full of gold will not be accepted from anyone of them if he (offers it to) ransom (himself) with it, those are certainly the persons for whom there is a painful punishment and for them there will be no helpers

Verse 92 — Surah Al-Imran 3:92

All food was lawful to the children of Israel except that which Israel (Jacob) had made unlawful for himself before the Torah was sent down. Say, "Bring the Torah and read it, if you are truthful

Verse 94 — Surah Al-Imran 3:94

So whoever fabricates a lie against God after that, then those are the persons who are unjust

Verse 95 — Surah Al-Imran 3:95

Say, "God has spoken the truth, then follow the religion (dictated by) Abraham the upright and he was not of the polytheists

Verse 96 — Surah Al-Imran 3:96

The first house layed down for mankind is certainly the one at Becca (Kaaba at Mecca), one (which is) blessed and a guidance for the worlds

Verse 97 — Surah Al-Imran 3:97

In it are clear signs, the place where Abraham stood, and whoever enters it, he is in security. And the pilgrimage to the house (Kaaba, is a duty incumbent) on human beings, for (the sake of ) God, on him who is able to find a way to it (one who has the capacity and can afford the journey), but he who rejects, then God is Independent of the worlds

Verse 98 — Surah Al-Imran 3:98

Say, "O owners of the book ! why do you reject the signs of God when God is a Witness over what you do

Verse 99 — Surah Al-Imran 3:99

Say, "O owners of the book ! why do you stop from the path of God, one who believes, seeking crookedness in it while you (yourselves) are witnesses? And God is not unaware of what you do

Verse 100 — Surah Al-Imran 3:100

O you who believe ! if you obey a party of those who were given the book, they will turn you back as disbelievers after your belief

Verse 101 — Surah Al-Imran 3:101

And how would you reject, when you are those to whom the statements of God are read and His messenger (too) is among you? And whoever holds firmly to God, he indeed is guided to the straight path

Verse 102 — Surah Al-Imran 3:102

O you who believe ! fear God as He ought to be feared and do not die unless you are Muslims

Verse 103 — Surah Al-Imran 3:103

And hold together (and be united) through the rope of God and do not be divided. And remember the favour of God on you, when you were enemies then He united your hearts, so by His favour you became brothers, and you were on the edge of a pit of fire then He saved you from it, thus does God make clear to you His signs that you may receive guidance

Verse 104 — Surah Al-Imran 3:104

And there should be a leading group among you who should invite (people) towards good and enjoin that which is recognised (as good) and forbid that which is not recognised (as good), and those are the persons who are successful

Verse 105 — Surah Al-Imran 3:105

And do not be like those who were divided (among themselves) and disagreed after the clear proofs had come to them, and those are the persons for whom there is a great punishment

Verse 106 — Surah Al-Imran 3:106

On the day when (some) faces will be white while (other) faces will be black, then as for those whose faces will be black, (it will be said), "Did you become disbelievers after your belief ? Then taste the punishment because you did not believe

Verse 107 — Surah Al-Imran 3:107

And as for those whose faces will be white, then they will be the persons who will stay in the mercy of God

Those are the statements of God which we read to you correctly, and God does not intend injustice to the worlds

Verse 109 — Surah Al-Imran 3:109

And whatever is in the skies and whatever is in the earth is God's, and (all) the affairs are returned to God

Verse 110 — Surah Al-Imran 3:110

You are the best community raised for humanity. You enjoin that which is recognised (as good) and forbid that which is not recognised (as good) and you believe in God; and had the owners of the book (too) believed, it would have been better for them, among them there are believers, but most of them are transgressors

Verse 111 — Surah Al-Imran 3:111

They will not harm you except annoying (you), and if they fight with you, they will turn their backs to you, then they will not be helped

Verse 112 — Surah Al-Imran 3:112

Disgrace was made to strike them wherever they were found, except (when they sought) means of God and means of human beings, and they became deserving of the anger of God, and wretchedness was made to strike them. That was because they used to reject the signs of God and kill the prophets without having the right to do so. That was because they disobeyed and they were the persons who exceeded the limits

Verse 113 — Surah Al-Imran 3:113

They (all) are not the same. From among the owners of the book, (there is) an upright community, they read the statements of God during the hours of the night and they prostrate

Verse 114 — Surah Al-Imran 3:114

They believe in God and the period hereafter and enjoin that which is recognised (as good) and forbid that which is not recognised (as good) and hasten in doing good works, and they are of the righteous

Those who do not believe, their wealth and their children will certainly not keep them safe from God in anything, and those are the inhabitants of the fire, they will stay therein

Verse 117 — Surah Al-Imran 3:117

The likeness of that which they spend in the life of this world is as the likeness of wind in which is intense cold which strikes the harvest of a people who do injustice to themselves and thus destroys it. And God is not unjust to them but they are unjust to themselves

Verse 118 — Surah Al-Imran 3:118

O believers! Do not associate closely with those who would not miss a chance to harm you. Their only desire is to see you suffer. Their prejudice has become evident from what they say—and what they hide in their hearts is far worse. We have made Our revelations clear to you, if only you understood

Verse 119 — Surah Al-Imran 3:119

Ah ! you are those who love them but they do not love you, and you are those who believe in the whole of the book *. And when they meet you, they say, "We believe," but when they are alone, they bite their finger tips because of (their) anger on you. Say, "Die in your anger." God is certainly the Knower of that which is in the bosoms ( hearts)

Verse 120 — Surah Al-Imran 3:120

If good (even) touches you they feel bad and if evil befalls you they are happy about it, but if you are patient and guard yourselves, their plot will not harm you in anything. God is certainly the Encompassor of that which they do

Verse 121 — Surah Al-Imran 3:121

And (remember) when you went out in the morning from your family, to assign to the believers their positions for the battle (of Uhad) , and God was Hearing, Knowing

Verse 122 — Surah Al-Imran 3:122

when two parties from among you were on the point of showing cowardice though God was their Guardian. And on God then, let the believers (put their) trust

Verse 123 — Surah Al-Imran 3:123

And God had helped you at Badr when you were weak, therefore fear God so as to be grateful (to Him)

Verse 124 — Surah Al-Imran 3:124

When you said to the believers, "Is it not enough for you that your Lord should support you with three thousand of the angels, sent down

Verse 125 — Surah Al-Imran 3:125

Why not? If you are patient and on your guard and these (your enemies) come on you suddenly, your Lord will support you with five thousand of the angels, marked. will support you with five thousand of the angels, marked

Verse 126 — Surah Al-Imran 3:126

And God did not give this (assurance) except as a good news for you, so that your hearts should be at peace thereby, and there is no (other) help except that from God, the Mighty, the Wise

Verse 127 — Surah Al-Imran 3:127

that He may cut off a portion from among those who did not believe or disgrace them so that they should go back (as) failures

Verse 128 — Surah Al-Imran 3:128
