Verse 1 — Surah Al-Fath 48:1

We certainly opened for you (a way by giving you) a clear victory

Verse 2 — Surah Al-Fath 48:2

that God may protect you from (every) sin of yours which you (could) send in advance and which you (could) leave behind and complete His favour on you and guide you on the right path

Verse 3 — Surah Al-Fath 48:3

and (that) God may help you with a mighty help

Verse 4 — Surah Al-Fath 48:4

He it is Who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers that they may (thereby receive more) belief added to their belief, and God’s are the forces of the skies and the earth and God is Knowing, Wise

Verse 5 — Surah Al-Fath 48:5

that He may make the believing men and the believing women enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, to stay therein, and to remove from them their evils, and that is a great achievement in the sight of God

Verse 6 — Surah Al-Fath 48:6

and (that) He may punish the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women and the polytheist men and the polytheist women who entertain an evil thought about God. On them is an evil turn of fortune and the anger of God is on them and He has cursed them and prepared for them hell and it is an evil destination

Verse 7 — Surah Al-Fath 48:7

And God’s are the forces of the skies and the earth and God is Mighty, Wise

Verse 8 — Surah Al-Fath 48:8

We have sent you as a witness and a conveyer of good news and a warner

Verse 9 — Surah Al-Fath 48:9

so that you all should believe in God and His messenger and honour Him and rever Him and glorify Him morning and evening

Verse 10 — Surah Al-Fath 48:10

Those who swear allegiance to you certainly swear allegiance only to God, the hand of God is above their hands. So whoever breaks (the agreement, the loss of) his breaking (it) is only on his own soul and whoever fulfils the agreement which he has made with God, then He will give him a great reward. reward

Verse 11 — Surah Al-Fath 48:11

Those of the desert Arabs who were left behind will say to you, “Our wealth and our people kept us occupied, so seek protective forgiveness for us.” They say with their tongues that which is not in their hearts. Say, “Then who can control anything for you against God, if He intends to harm you or intends to benefit you? No, God is informed of that which you do.”

Verse 12 — Surah Al-Fath 48:12

No, you expected that the messenger of God and the believers will never return to their people, and that was made fair seeming to your hearts, and you expected an evil expectation and you are a people who are lost

Verse 13 — Surah Al-Fath 48:13

And whoever does not believe in God and His messenger, We have certainly prepared a blazing fire for (such) disbelievers

Verse 14 — Surah Al-Fath 48:14

And God’s is the kingdom of the skies and the earth, He protectively forgives whom He wills and He punishes whom He wills and God is Protectively Forgiving, Merciful

Verse 15 — Surah Al-Fath 48:15

When you proceed to take the booty (of war), those who were left behind will say, “Allow us to follow you.” They intend to change the word of God, say, “You will never follow us, thus has God said before.” Then they will say, “No, you are jealous of us.” No, they do not understand except a little

Verse 16 — Surah Al-Fath 48:16

Say to those of the desert Arabs who were left behind, “You will be called for (fighting against) a people who possess mighty strength, you will fight them until they surrender. So if you obey, God will give you a good reward but if you turn back as you turned back earlier, He will punish you with a painful punishment

Verse 17 — Surah Al-Fath 48:17

There is no blame on the blind, nor is there any blame on the lame, nor is there any blame on the sick (if they do not go out for participation in religious wars); and whoever obeys God and His messenger, He will make him enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, but whoever turns back He will punish him with a painful punishment. punish him with a painful punishment

Verse 18 — Surah Al-Fath 48:18

God was indeed pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew that which was in their hearts so He sent down tranquility on them and rewarded them with a near victory

Verse 19 — Surah Al-Fath 48:19

and much booty which they take, and God is Mighty, Wise

Verse 20 — Surah Al-Fath 48:20

God promised you much booty which you will take, then He hastened this for you and held back the hands of men from you so that it may be a sign for the believers and (that) He may guide you on the straight path

Verse 21 — Surah Al-Fath 48:21

and other (gains) on which you do not have power (right now), God has indeed encompassed them (for you) and God has power over everything

Verse 22 — Surah Al-Fath 48:22

And if those who do not believe fight with you, they would certainly turn (their) backs, then they would not find any guardian or a helper

Verse 23 — Surah Al-Fath 48:23

(This has been the) procedure of God which has passed earlier and you will never find a change in the procedure of God

Verse 24 — Surah Al-Fath 48:24

And it was He Who had held back their hands from you and your hands from them in the interior of Mecca, after He had given you victory over them , and God is the Seer of what you do

Verse 25 — Surah Al-Fath 48:25

Those were the persons who did not believe and turned you away from the Sacred Mosque and stopped the offering from reaching its destination. And had believing men and believing women not been there, whom you did not know and whom you would have trampled, then distress would have befallen you on account of them, unknowingly. (You were held back) so that God may make to enter into His mercy, whom He wills. Had they (the believers and disbelievers) been separated (one from another). We would have punished those who did not believe from among them, with a painful punishment

Verse 26 — Surah Al-Fath 48:26

When those who did not believe, cherished in their hearts a rage and (that too) the rage of ignorance, then God sent down His tranquility on His messenger and on the believers, and made them stick to the statement of restrain, and they deserved it and were worthy of it, and God has knowledge of everything

Verse 27 — Surah Al-Fath 48:27

God indeed made true, His messenger’s vision of reality, that if God wills, you will definitely enter the Sacred Mosque secure, (some) having your heads shaved while (others having their hair) reduced, (entering) without fear. So He knew that which you did not know, therefore He brought about a near victory (of Khaiber), besides that

Verse 28 — Surah Al-Fath 48:28

He it is Who has sent His messenger with guidance and the religion of truth that He may make it prevail over every religion, and God is sufficient as a Witness

Verse 29 — Surah Al-Fath 48:29

Muhammad is the messenger of God, and those with him are strong against the disbelievers(Meccans who persecuted believers) and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing down, prostrating, seeking grace from God and (His) pleasure, their marks due to the effect of, prostrations are there in their faces. That is their likeness (mentioned) in the Torah and their likeness mentioned in the Gospel. (They are) like vegetation which (first) puts forth its sprout then it becomes firm then it becomes thick, then it stands balanced on its stem, pleasing the sowers, that He may make the disbelievers angry through them. God has promised those among them who believe and do righteous works, protective forgiveness and a great reward
