Verse 1 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:1

Whatever is in the skies and whatever is in the earth glorifies God and He is the Mighty, the Wise

Verse 2 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:2

He it is Who caused the driving out of those who did not believe from among the owners of the book, from their houses at the first gathering for exile. You did not expect that they will go out while they expected that their fortresses would defend them against God, but God came to them (to punish them) from a place which they could not (even) imagine, and He cast terror into their hearts so that their houses were ruined with their own hands and the hands of the believers, so learn a lesson O you who have insight

Verse 3 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:3

And if God had not decreed exile for them He would have punished them in this world, and in the hereafter they will have the punishment of fire

Verse 4 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:4

That is because they opposed God and His messenger, and whoever opposes God then God is certainly severe in requiting

Verse 5 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:5

Whatever date palms you cut down or left them standing on their roots, it was by God’s permission, so that (through it) He might disgrace the transgressors

Verse 6 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:6

And whatever God made His messenger to take from them, you did not make any horse or riding camel to run for (achieving) it, but God gives authority to His messengers over whom He wills and God has power over everything

Verse 7 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:7

Whatever God made His messenger to take from the people of the towns, it is for God and for His messenger and for the possessors of relationship and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, so that the (wealth) may not become an item of circulation (only) between the rich among you. And take that which the messenger gives you and that which he withholds from you, you (too) withhold (yourselves from it), and fear God, God is certainly severe in requiting

Verse 8 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:8

(It is) for the poor immigrants who were driven out from their houses and their possessions, seeking the grace of God and His pleasure, and they helped God and His messenger, those are the persons who are truthful

Verse 9 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:9

And those who were settled in houses (in Madina) and (in) belief, before the (migrants from Mecca), they love those who migrated towards them and do not find in their hearts any need of that which is given to the (migrants) and prefer them over themselves even if they are in need, and one who is saved from the selfishness of his soul, then those are the persons who are successful

Verse 10 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:10

And those who came after them say, “Our Lord ! protectively forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in belief and do not let any ill feeling be present in our hearts for those who believe. Our Lord ! You are certainly full of pity, Merciful.”

Verse 11 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:11

Did you not see those hypocrites who say to their brothers who do not believe from among the owners of the book, “If you are driven out we (too) will definitely go out with you and we will never obey anyone against you and if you are attacked in fighting, we will definitely help you.” And God is a Witness that they are certainly liars

Verse 12 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:12

If they are driven out they will not go out with them and if they are attacked in fighting they will not help them and if (at all) they help them, they will definitely turn their backs, then they will not be helped. help them, they will definitely turn their backs, then they will not be helped

Verse 13 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:13

Terror on account of you is stronger in their hearts than that due to God, that is because they are a people who do not understand

Verse 14 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:14

(Even) all of them combined together will not fight with you, except (after taking shelter) in fortified towns or from behind walls, their fighting among themselves is severe, you think that they are united whereas their hearts are disunited, that is because they are people who have no sense

Verse 15 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:15

(They are) similar in likeness to those who were just before them (and) who tasted the evil result of their affair, and for them there is a painful punishment

Verse 16 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:16

(They are) similar in likeness to the devil when he says to man, “Reject (the truth),” but when he rejects, he says, “I am free of you I am certainly afraid of God, the Lord of the worlds.”

Verse 17 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:17

Therefore the end of both will be that, both of them will be in the fire, staying therein, and that is the reward of those who are unjust

Verse 18 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:18

O you who believe ! fear God, and let every soul look to what it has sent in advance for the morrow (future) and fear God, God is certainly informed of that which you do

Verse 19 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:19

And do not be like those who forgot God, so He made them forget themselves, those are the persons who transgress

Verse 20 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:20

Inhabitants of the fire and inhabitants of the garden are not equal, the inhabitants of the garden, they are the achievers

Verse 21 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:21

If We had sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would have seen it fallen down splitting asunder due to the fear of God. And these are similitude’s We set forth for mankind that they may reflect

Verse 22 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:22

God is He, besides Whom there is no god, Knower of the unseen and the seen, He is the Beneficent, the Merciful

Verse 23 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:23

God is He, besides Whom there is no god, the King, the Holy, the Author of peace, the Granter of security, the Guardian, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Possessor of greatness; glorified be God above what they associate as partners (with Him)

Verse 24 — Surah Al-Hashr 59:24

God is He (Who is) the Creator, the Purifier, the Fashioner, His are the most beautiful names, whatever is in the skies and the earth glorifies Him and He is the Mighty, the Wise
