English - Chapter 84 - Al-Inshiqaq

When the sky is split asunder

and responds to its Lord, a duty incumbent on it

And when the earth is stretched out

and casts forth that which is in it and becomes empty

and responds to its Lord, a duty incumbent on it

O man! you are certainly labouring towards your Lord, with a labour, so you will meet Him

So as for him who is given his record (of deeds) in his right hand

he will be called to account, with an easy accountability

and he will return happily to his class of people

And as for him who is given his record (of deeds) behind his back

he will call for (i.e. invoke) destruction (upon himself)

and he will enter the (hot) blaze

He was certainly happy in his class of people (in the worldly life)

He certainly thought that he would never return

Why not, his Lord was certainly seeing him

and the night and that which it gathers

and the moon when it is full

You will definitely be carried from stage to stage

So what is wrong with them that they do not believe

And when the Quran is, recited to them, they do not prostrate

No, those who do not believe, deny

And God knows best what they hide

So give them the news of the painful punishment

except those who believe and do righteous works, for them there is an unfailing reward
