Verse 1 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:1

Verse 2 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:2

Verse 3 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:3

and the even and the odd

Verse 4 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:4

and the night when it travels

Verse 5 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:5

For one who has sense, these (items) are surely worth being sworn by

Verse 6 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:6

Did you not see how your Lord dealt with Aad

Verse 7 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:7

people of Iram, possessors of (lofty buildings supported by) pillars

Verse 8 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:8

the like of which was not created in (other) cities

Verse 9 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:9

and Thamud who cut the rocks in the valley

Verse 10 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:10

and Pharaoh, possessor of pegs

Verse 11 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:11

who rebelled in the cities

Verse 12 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:12

Thus they increased corruption in them

Verse 13 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:13

So your Lord poured on them a portion of the punishment

Verse 14 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:14

Your Lord is certainly watchfully waiting

Verse 15 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:15

So as for man, whenever his Lord tries him by honouring him and favouring him, then he says, “My Lord has honoured me.”

Verse 16 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:16

And as for (the situation) when He tries him by straitening on him his provision, he says, “My Lord has disgraced me.”

Verse 17 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:17

No, but the orphan is not honoured by you

Verse 18 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:18

and you do not urge one another on the feeding of the poor

Verse 19 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:19

and you eat off the inheritance, eating it greedily

Verse 20 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:20

and you love wealth with intense love

Verse 21 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:21

No, when the earth is crushed to level it in a level

Verse 22 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:22

and your Lord comes with the angels in rank after rank

Verse 23 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:23

so on that day, hell will be brought near, (and) on that day man will be mindful. But his being mindful (on that day) will be of no use to him

Verse 24 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:24

He will say, "I wish I had sent (good deeds) before, for my life (after death)

Verse 25 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:25

So on that day, no one’s punishment will be like His punishment

Verse 26 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:26

and no one's binding will be like His binding

Verse 27 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:27

Verse 28 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:28

Return to your Lord pleased and pleasing (Him)

Verse 29 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:29

so enter among My servants

Verse 30 — Surah Al-Fajr 89:30
