Verse 1 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:1
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:2
He created man from something that clings and hangs (like a leech)
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:3
Recite, and your Lord is the Most Honourable
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:4
Who taught with the pen
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:5
He taught man that which he did not know
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:6
No, man certainly rebels
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:7
because he sees himself independent
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:8
Certainly, towards your Lord is the return
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:9
Have you seen him who forbids
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:10
when a servant of God worships
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:11
Have you seen, if he is on guidance
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:12
or enjoins guarding (against evil)
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:13
Have you seen, if he denies and turns (his back)
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:14
did he not know that God certainly sees
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:15
No, if he does not stop, We will drag him, seizing him by his forelock
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:16
the denying, sinful forelock
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:17
So let him call his council
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:18
We will call the soldiers (guards of hell)
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Alaq 96:19
No, do not obey him but prostrate and draw near (to God)
