English - Chapter 76 - Al-Insan

Verse 1 — Surah Al-Insan 76:1
Was there not a period of time when man was not a thing [even] mentioned
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Insan 76:2
Indeed, We created man from a drop of mixed fluids, in order to test him. So We gave him hearing and sight
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Insan 76:3
Indeed, We showed him the way, whether he is grateful or ungrateful
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Insan 76:4
We have surely prepared for the disbelievers chains, shackles, and a Blazing Fire
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Insan 76:5
Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] flavored with camphor
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Insan 76:6
a spring from which Allah’s slaves will drink, which will flow as they wish
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Insan 76:7
They fulfill their vows and fear a Day whose evil will spread far and wide
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Insan 76:8
and they give food, despite their love for it, to the needy, the orphans, and the captives
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Insan 76:9
[saying to themselves] “We feed you only for the sake of Allah; we seek from you neither reward nor gratitude
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Insan 76:10
We fear from our Lord a grim and distressful Day.”
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Insan 76:11
So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day, and will grant them radiance and delight
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Insan 76:12
and will reward them for their perseverance with Paradise and garments of silk
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Insan 76:13
They will recline therein on adorned couches; neither feeling scorching heat nor freezing cold
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Insan 76:14
with shady branches spread above them, and clusters of fruit will be made within their reach
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Insan 76:15
They will be served frequently with silver vessels and crystal cups
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Insan 76:16
crystalline goblets of silver, filled precisely as desired
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Insan 76:17
They will be given a glass [of wine] flavored with ginger
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Insan 76:18
from a spring therein called Salsabīl
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Insan 76:19
They will be served by eternal young boys; if you see them, you would think that they are scattered pearls
Verse 20 — Surah Al-Insan 76:20
If you were to look around, you would see bliss and a vast dominion
Verse 21 — Surah Al-Insan 76:21
They will be dressed in garments of fine green silk and rich brocade, and will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a pure drink
Verse 22 — Surah Al-Insan 76:22
[And they will be told,] “Indeed, this is your reward, and your efforts have been appreciated.”
Verse 23 — Surah Al-Insan 76:23
Indeed, it is We Who have sent down the Qur’an to you in stages
Verse 24 — Surah Al-Insan 76:24
So be patient with your Lord’s decree, and do not obey any sinner or disbeliever from among them
Verse 25 — Surah Al-Insan 76:25
And remember the Name of your Lord morning and evening
Verse 26 — Surah Al-Insan 76:26
and prostrate to Him at night, and glorify Him at length by night
Verse 27 — Surah Al-Insan 76:27
Indeed, these [pagans] love this fleeting life and pay no heed to a heavy Day ahead of them
Verse 28 — Surah Al-Insan 76:28
It is We Who created them and strengthened their build. If We will, We can replace them with others like them
Verse 29 — Surah Al-Insan 76:29
Indeed, this is a reminder; so let anyone who wills may take a way to his Lord
Verse 30 — Surah Al-Insan 76:30
But you cannot will unless Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise
Verse 31 — Surah Al-Insan 76:31
He admits whom He wills into His mercy, but for the wrongdoers He has prepared a painful punishment
