Verse 1 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:1
Has there come to you the story of the Overwhelming Event
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:2
On that Day, some faces will be humiliated
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:3
toiling and weary
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:4
as they burn in a scorching Fire
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:5
They will be made to drink from a boiling spring
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:6
and they will have no food except bitter thorny plants
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:7
that neither nourishes nor satisfies hunger
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:8
Other faces on that Day will be joyful
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:9
well-pleased with their past striving
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:10
in an elevated garden
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:11
wherein no idle talk will be heard
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:12
There will be a flowing spring
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:13
and couches raised high
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:14
and cups placed ready
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:15
and cushions lined up
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:16
and splendid carpets spread out
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:17
Do they not reflect on the camel, how it is created
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:18
and the sky, how it is raised high
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:19
and the mountains, how they are firmly set up
Verse 20 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:20
and the earth, how it is spread out
Verse 21 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:21
So remind [O Prophet]; your duty is only to remind
Verse 22 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:22
you are not assigned to compel them
Verse 23 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:23
But whoever turns away and disbelieves
Verse 24 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:24
Allah will inflict upon him the greatest punishment
Verse 25 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:25
Indeed, to Us is their return
Verse 26 — Surah Al-Ghashiyah 88:26
then it is for Us to call them to account
