Verse 1 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:1
When the Inevitable arrives
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:2
no one will deny its happening
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:3
humbling, exalting
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:4
The earth will be rocked with a jolt
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:5
and the mountains crumble to pieces
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:6
and become dust that is scattered about
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:7
You will form three groups
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:8
the Companions on the Right (What do the Companions on the Right [mean)
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:9
the Companions on the Left (What do the Companions on the Unlucky side [mean)
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:10
and the Pioneers will be out there leading
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:11
Those will be the nearest
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:12
in gardens of bliss
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:13
a multitude from early men
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:14
and a few from later ones
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:15
on couches set close together
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:16
leaning back on them, facing one another
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:17
Immortal youths will stroll around them
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:18
with glasses, pitchers, and a cup from a fountain
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:19
which will not upset them nor dull their senses
Verse 20 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:20
and any fruit that they may choose
Verse 21 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:21
and the meat from any fowl they may desire
Verse 22 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:22
and bright-eyed damsels [chaste] just like treasured pearls
Verse 23 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:23
as a reward for what they have been doing
Verse 24 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:24
They will not hear any idle talk there nor any fault-finding
Verse 25 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:25
merely people saying: "Peace! Peace
Verse 26 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:26
The Companions on the Right
Verse 27 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:27
what about the Companions on the Right
Verse 28 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:28
[They will be] among hawthoms trimmed of their thorns
Verse 29 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:29
and bananas piled bunch on bunch
Verse 30 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:30
with their shade spread out
Verse 31 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:31
water pouring forth
Verse 32 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:32
and plenty of fruit
Verse 33 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:33
which is neither rationed nor forbidden
Verse 34 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:34
and padded furniture raised [off the floor]
Verse 35 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:35
We have produced special women
Verse 36 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:36
and made them (ever) virgins
Verse 37 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:37
easy to get along with and of their same age
Verse 38 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:38
for the Companions on the Right
Verse 39 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:39
a multitude from early men
Verse 40 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:40
as well as a multitude from later ones
Verse 41 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:41
The Companions on the Unlucky side, what about the Companions on the Left
Verse 42 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:42
In a scorching wind, scalding water
Verse 43 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:43
and the shade of pitch-black smoke
Verse 44 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:44
which is neither cool nor refreshing
Verse 45 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:45
They had been luxuriating before that happened
Verse 46 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:46
and persisted in awesome blasphemy
Verse 47 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:47
and kept on saying: ´When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be raised up again
Verse 48 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:48
Along with our earliest forefathers
Verse 49 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:49
SAY: "The earlier and the later ones
Verse 50 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:50
will be gathered together for an appointment on a well-known day
Verse 51 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:51
Then you mistaken rejectors
Verse 52 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:52
will be eating something from the Infernal Tree
Verse 53 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:53
filling (your) bellies with it
Verse 54 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:54
and drinking scalding water in addition
Verse 55 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:55
lapping it up, the way thirsty [camels] drink
Verse 56 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:56
Such will be their fare on the Day for Repayment
Verse 57 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:57
We created you, if you would only acknowledge it
Verse 58 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:58
Have you ever considered what you emit
Verse 59 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:59
Did you create it, or are We its Creators
Verse 60 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:60
We have ordained death for (all of) you; no one will get ahead to prevent Us
Verse 61 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:61
from changing your attributes, and transforming you into something you would never recognize
Verse 62 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:62
You know about the first transformation, if you will only recall it
Verse 63 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:63
Have you considered what you plant as crops
Verse 64 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:64
Do you farm it or are We the Farmers
Verse 65 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:65
If We so wished, We would turn it into chaff so you would do nothing but exclaim
Verse 66 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:66
We are debt-ridden
Verse 67 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:67
in fact, we are destitute
Verse 68 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:68
Have you ever considered the water you drink
Verse 69 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:69
Do you pour down from the rainclouds or are, We its Pourers
Verse 70 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:70
If We so wished, We might make it brackish. If you would only act grateful
Verse 71 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:71
Have you considered the Fire you kindle
Verse 72 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:72
Are you the ones who grow its trees [for firewood] or are We their Growers
Verse 73 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:73
We have granted it as a Reminder and enjoyment for those living in the wilderness
Verse 74 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:74
So celebrate your Lord´s almighty name
Verse 75 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:75
Yet I swear by the stars´ positions
Verse 76 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:76
it is a serious oath, if you only knew it
Verse 77 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:77
that it is a Noble Quran
Verse 78 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:78
[kept] as a treasured Book
Verse 79 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:79
which none but the purified may touch
Verse 80 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:80
something sent down by the Lord of the Universe
Verse 81 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:81
Are you (all) trying to dodge this report
Verse 82 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:82
Are you making [the fact] that you reject it into your means of livelihood
Verse 83 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:83
Why not -when [your soul] leaps to your throat [at death]
Verse 84 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:84
and you are then observing
Verse 85 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:85
We are even Nearer to it than you are, even though you do not notice it
Verse 86 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:86
provided you are not under any obligation
Verse 87 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:87
answer back if you are truthful
Verse 88 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:88
Thus if he is one of those who are drawn close
Verse 89 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:89
[he will have] contentment, fragrance, and a garden of bliss
Verse 90 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:90
while if he is one of the Companions on the Right
Verse 91 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:91
Peace be on you [will be the greeting) from the Companions on the Right
Verse 92 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:92
However if he is one of the mistaken rejectors
Verse 93 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:93
a welcome of scalding water
Verse 94 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:94
plus a roasting in Hades [will await him]
Verse 95 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:95
This is the absolute Truth
Verse 96 — Surah Al-Waqiah 56:96
So celebrate our Lord´s almighty name
