Verse 1 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:1
The Hour has drawn nigh, and the moon has been cleaved
Verse 2 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:2
and if they see a sign, they turn away and say, “Incessant sorcery!”
Verse 3 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:3
They denied and followed their caprices—and every matter shall be made to endure
Verse 4 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:4
Indeed reports have come to them wherein is a reproof
Verse 5 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:5
conclusive wisdom, but the warnings availed not
Verse 6 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:6
So turn away from them on the Day wherein the caller will call unto a terrible thing
Verse 7 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:7
With their eyes humbled they emerge from the graves as if they were scattered locusts
Verse 8 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:8
scrambling toward the caller. The disbelievers say, “This is a calamitous day.”
Verse 9 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:9
The people of Noah denied before them, for they denied Our servant and said, “Possessed!” And he was reproved
Verse 10 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:10
Then he called upon his Lord, “Truly I am overcome. Help!”
Verse 11 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:11
So We opened the gates of the sky with pouring water
Verse 12 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:12
and We caused the earth to burst forth with springs, such that the waters met for a matter determined
Verse 13 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:13
Then We carried him upon a thing of planks and nails
Verse 14 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:14
coursing under Our Eyes as a recompense for one who was rejected
Verse 15 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:15
And indeed We left it as a sign; so is there any who remembers
Verse 16 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:16
How, then, were My Punishment and My warnings
Verse 17 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:17
And indeed We have made the Quran easy to remember; so is there any who remembers
Verse 18 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:18
Ad denied. How, then, were My Punishment and My warnings
Verse 19 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:19
Truly We sent upon them a howling wind on a day of incessant misfortune
Verse 20 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:20
tearing out people as if they were uprooted palm trunks
Verse 21 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:21
How, then, were My Punishment and My warnings
Verse 22 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:22
And indeed We have made the Quran easy to remember; so is there any who remembers
Verse 23 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:23
Thamud denied the warnings
Verse 24 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:24
They said, “Shall we follow a single human being from among us? Then we would surely be astray and mad
Verse 25 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:25
Has the reminder been cast upon him from among us? Nay, he is an insolent liar.”
Verse 26 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:26
On the morrow they will know who is the insolent liar
Verse 27 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:27
Behold! We are sending the she-camel as a trial for them; so watch them and be patient
Verse 28 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:28
And inform them that the water is to be divided among them—each share of drink equitably proportioned
Verse 29 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:29
Then they called their companion, and he took in hand and hamstrung [her]
Verse 30 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:30
How, then, were My Punishment and My warnings
Verse 31 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:31
Truly We sent upon them a single cry, and they were like a fence maker’s dry sticks
Verse 32 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:32
And indeed We have made the Quran easy to remember; so is there any who remembers
Verse 33 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:33
The people of Lot denied the warnings
Verse 34 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:34
Truly We sent upon them a torrent of stones, save the family of Lot, whom We delivered at dawn
Verse 35 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:35
as a blessing from Us. Thus do We requite whosoever gives thanks
Verse 36 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:36
And indeed he had warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warnings
Verse 37 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:37
They had sought to lure him from his guests; so We blotted out their eyes. So taste My Punishment and My warnings
Verse 38 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:38
And indeed an enduring punishment greeted them early in the morning
Verse 39 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:39
So taste My Punishment and My warnings
Verse 40 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:40
And indeed We have made the Quran easy to remember; so is there any who remembers
Verse 41 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:41
And indeed the warnings came unto the House of Pharaoh
Verse 42 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:42
They denied Our signs—all of them; so We seized them with the seizing of One Mighty, Omnipotent
Verse 43 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:43
Are your disbelievers better than those? Or have you some exemption in the scriptures
Verse 44 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:44
Or do they say, “We are a host victorious!”
Verse 45 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:45
The whole shall be routed and they will turn [their] backs
Verse 46 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:46
Nay! The Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is more calamitous and more bitter
Verse 47 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:47
Truly the guilty are astray and mad
Verse 48 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:48
On the Day they are dragged upon their faces into the Fire, “Taste the touch of Saqar.”
Verse 49 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:49
Truly We have created everything according to a measure
Verse 50 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:50
And Our Command is naught but one, like the blinking of an eye
Verse 51 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:51
We have indeed destroyed the likes of you; so is there any who remembers
Verse 52 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:52
Everything that they have done is in the scriptures
Verse 53 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:53
everything small and great is inscribed
Verse 54 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:54
Truly the reverent are amidst Gardens and a stream
Verse 55 — Surah Al-Qamar 54:55
upon a seat of truth before an Omnipotent King
