    Verse 1

    By the loosed ones successively

    Verse 2

    storming tempestuously

    Verse 3

    by the scatterers scattering

    Verse 4

    and the severally severing

    Verse 5

    and those hurling a reminder

    Verse 6

    excusing or warning

    Verse 7

    surely that which you are promised is about to fall

    Verse 8

    When the stars shall be extinguished

    Verse 9

    when heaven shall be split

    Verse 10

    when the mountains shall be scattered

    Verse 11

    and when the Messengers' time is set

    Verse 12

    to what day shall they be delayed

    Verse 13

    To the Day of Decision

    Verse 14

    And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision

    Verse 15

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 16

    Did We not destroy the ancients

    Verse 17

    and then follow them with the later folk

    Verse 18

    So We serve the sinners

    Verse 19

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 20

    Did We not create you of a mean water

    Verse 21

    that We laid within a sure lodging

    Verse 22

    till a known term decreed

    Verse 23

    We determined; excellent determiners are We

    Verse 24

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 25

    Made We not the earth to be a housing

    Verse 26

    for the living and for the dead

    Verse 27

    Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water

    Verse 28

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 29

    Depart to that you cried was lies

    Verse 30

    Depart to a triple-massing shadow

    Verse 31

    unshading against the blazing flame

    Verse 32

    that shoots sparks like dry faggots

    Verse 33

    sparks like to golden herds

    Verse 34

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 35

    This is the day they shall not speak

    Verse 36

    neither be given leave, and excuse themselves

    Verse 37

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 38

    This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients

    Verse 39

    if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me

    Verse 40

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 41

    Truly the godfearing shall dwell amid shades and fountains

    Verse 42

    and such fruits as their hearts desire

    Verse 43

    Eat and drink, with wholesome appetite, for that you were working

    Verse 44

    Even so do We recompense the good-doers

    Verse 45

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 46

    Eat and take your joy a little; you are sinners

    Verse 47

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 48

    When it is said to them, 'Prostrate yourselves!' they prostrate not

    Verse 49

    Woe that day unto those who cry it lies

    Verse 50

    In what discourse after this will they believe
